Don't know if this is the right place for me to post-have been moving around the various threads trying to get to know people. I ventured out to get some stardrops today following all the rec on here. How did I get to 47 before learning about this stuff? Was rewarded as I went into the cancer research shop for a browse-I was limping becuase my sandals are falling aprt with a nail sticking into my big toe from the sole! I happened upon a pair of clarkes sandals, lovely soft tan leather-look as though they have never been worn as the sole is absolutely unmarked. £7.99-I know I could have got cheap sandals for somewhere but I have to be careful with footware as I have arthritis, clarkes always seem to suit me however.I wore them home-almost skipped to my car I was so delighted! I am now making a sausage casserole with a pepper and mushrooms wich were begging for mercy in my fridge, with Jacket pots off the whoopsie at Asda. Having only bought stardrops instead of the 3 different products I would normally buy I reckon the sandals have virtually paid for themself!

    evening all,

Had a good day, been out for a loooooong walk, with little dog, and took my mums dog too, mum and dad have both got flu, and are really under the weather. Have just spoken to my mum, who said that a local shop are doing huge tubs of raspberrys for 99p, so will try and get some of them.

Just had prawn and smoked mackeral salad for tea, it was delish, went into homebase on the way back from walk, picked up a nice pot reduced to £4.99 will put my hostar in, and a strimmer which I was desperate for, need to strim the long grass cos thats where the froggies hide :o .

Car going in early tomorrow for the welding, so it may be an expensive day, hey ho, needs doing.

    Have good evenings all xx

    Evening,

Churchmouse, I have just read your post and noticed that you have news of JackiO, I have sent you a pm. I have mentioned her in my last few posts but haven't heard anything. I hope she is OK.

Want to send kind thoughts to lots of us in need.

My horrible day seems not worth bothering about, lets face it there are more important things in life than worrying about state of gardens or houses (in my case) after all they're just material things.

I can come to terms with the state of the house we have had to heal, but can't get over my Sister moving on without a bye or leave.
Yeh, I suppose we can choose our friends but not our families, etc, etc.

She has always been a handfull, thank goodness I don't know how to do a blog because no-one would belive it.

    Love to all.

    Evening all

Whay a horrid day, really grey and now drizzling. Managed to have a hoover and a bit of a tidy round. Took DS out to a local park with my neighbours daughter. Cooked new pots, sausages and veg for tea. OH is such a fussy b****r and told me he couln't possibly eat that. Shall say the same to him next time he cooks dinner:rolleyes: .

PINK Are your cucumbers outdoor. I have 25 plants and have never grown them before, need some advice.

SHEZ we were lucky to see Billy Smarts last year. It really was magical, circus is one of my favourite things (but with no animals).

Anyhow am waffling. Welcome to anyone new. Off to get some decaff tea and stick DS in bed.

Have a good night all and sweet dreams.

PENPIN - you deserve the gifts; you have been very much on our minds lately and we are so glad you are back at home.

REDRUBY - I do hope your Mum and Dad get better soon; my Mum has had what she called a head cold for the last few days - there is definitely a nasty bug doing the rounds at the moment.

JACKIE0 - hope you are OK?

SUZIQ - Stardrops is most definitely a great 'amber liquid'! I would not be without it.

Well, I've just had a bath and I'm going to sit and chill out for the rest of the evening.

    See you all later.
