I've had one of those days trying to do some simple home cooking, nothings gone right, I made a quiche, which consisted of tomato's cheese broccoli mushrooms and onions, I couldn't get it to set, no matter how long I left it in for, almost 1 hour and 20 minutes, in the end it went in the bin, as did the Muffins I made which were as flat as a pancake, the tops were done, I couldn't get the mixture at the bottom of the case to set.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Taplady, mrs mix and twink :hello:
Ive spent the afternoon in the kitchen, ive made a banana loaf, a batch of twinks and some 'healthy' chewy bars (helathy cos they have loads of nuts and seeds in, along with the normal 'unhealthy' flapjack mix!!) also the lasagne and ratatouille. The BM is on with its second loaf of the day and ive stripped my bed and that has all been washed (2 loads today) and luckily its stayed dry all day so it should be dry and ready to go back on my bed, i love fresh bedding!
Have had 3 older girls here today, they all played lovely together, so has been a nice day - still got 1 here but they are out playing, we will eat once she has gone.
OK, better keep going, im looking forward to a nice sit down later, and Britains got Talent!! Will tape the F Word and watch it tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

They've also moved the Apprentice to 9.00 tonight, so I have three things I want to watch at the same time  Why was there nothing worth watching through Winter, and then suddenly everything is on at the same timeYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Hiya :hello:
Hugs to Penpin and Smoky.
Ladygrim that is a fear of mine, as my freezer is always packed and it's about 10 years old now.
The weather here is grey and cold, so I've been in all day. Tesco delivered my shopping this morning and my friend popped around for a chat and a coffee and to drop off my birthday present. I'm not 40 until tomorrow but I've been given 3 birthday cakes already! We've been out for 3 meals with friends and family and we're going for another one tomorrow (back to losing weight next week  :rotfl:;) ). We're also going bowling with the girls tomorrow afternoon.:D
DH took the car for a service and MOT this morning which cost £170  and then popped into town to buy some birthday gifts for me. He wasn't very subtle about it and has told me I've got to stay upstairs tonight, so that he can wrap them! :rotfl:
The girls have been good today and they stripped and changed their bedding for me. DD1 is out with her friends and DD2 is upstairs playing with her friend.
Tonight's tea will be (proper sausage) hotdogs with lots of salad followed by more birthday cake and/or strawberries.
Have a good evening.0 -
Afternoon all
Hubby's very down as today was his last day of work, no idea when he'll get some more, it will probably be 4 or 5 months at least. I think BIL has another week or so's work, I hope so, even tho he's only paying £20 a week I could do without losing that as well. He's still paying the mortgage & all the bills for his wife & he's supposed to be saving a deposit so he can rent somewhere. I've got some money saved from having Katy, but it won't last long. I had to spend £60 on curtain lining this morning, but at least I will get that back next week. I need to take some photo's tomorrow as I have some stuff to Ebay & this has given me the kick I need to get on with it.
Someone on here asked if I would put some recipes on my blog, so I have & also the Cheeseburger pie from Arkonite Babe as that is what I'm doing for tea tonight.
Have a good evening.
Hugs Hester

Evening All
Well my first day back at work wasn't great. Another person's quit and two others are thinging about it.
Started my second side job today. Think it went ok. Just got to get into the swing of it.
Car insurance certificate arrived today. Was beginning to panic for a bit as the policy starts tomorrow.
Feeling a bit poorly too, but I'm going to blame the miserable weather for that
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
