    Morning all,

Have managed to sort out some bills, done some photo copying, and had a quick tidy up. DH is loading DW.

The carpet fitter is going to measure up the whole house. we even have to re-new the lino in the bathroom because of cigarette burns.

Our friend came and quoted for painting the outside, £600. It's only a 2 bed semi and I am supplying the paint. I will do the doors because they have to be left open all day so he will paint 6 windows and the facia board.
    Will get 2 more quotes.

I relaxed last night by knitting a prem baby hat. Total now 6.

Hope you all have a good day.

    Morning all
Half term now so I'm only working part time, I shall walk the dog later, hubby & BIL are both at work so I finally get my chance.
I babysat last night & didn't get home til 1am, I could have done with a lie in, but didn't get one. DGS was very good & very helpful, DGD was wide awake, but fairly contented, so no real problems & I did get 4 loads of washing done & dried for DD while I was there.
I have some sewing to do later & some shopping for packups for the rest of the week.
I'm making impossible pie for tea, hubby is a fussy eater, but I think the cheeseburger one should go down well with him.
    Have a good day.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning Guys!

Feeling a little better this morning:D ...swelling has gone down and stiches in my tummy and mouth are starting to itch, so assume that means they are healing. I have the nurse coming in soon, so will ask her to make sure all is ok. Just feel so tired all the time though.

I had a text from my helper at 10.30 last night saying that she is not coming back as she now has to work full time as they are having money problems. I am gutted! She usually comes on a Monday for 2hrs and just does some jobs for me and also does the ironing on top. I dont know whether to look for someone else:confused: ...TBH, I dont know if I have the energy. It does all help OH though....so im not sure.

WM is on and DW will be on later. Toilet has also been cleaned. DD said she will flick through with the duster and polish downstairs for me later and OH is going to sweep and mop the floor.

    Hope everyone is ok.

    (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((smoky))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

    Hugs to all.

    Morning all!

Just munching toast and drinking coffee in bed! Lovely and peaceful here, oh left much earlier for work and all the children are having a lie in. I feel nicely rested, but then all i seem to have done for the past few days is sleep, wish I could bank some of it as back to w**k tonight, sigh! Still it's nice not to feel tired for once!

Got slow cooker full of tinned toms and assorted bits cooking down to make tom sauce for the freezer, will do it extra thick so can use on pizza, or dilute a bit for other things like pasta, spag bol etc. Will have to whizz round with the hoover later, but don't want to wake anyone yet, well it sound like a feasible excuse lol! Not sure what else I'll be doing, some baking I think, weather looks bit grim again so will enlist dd2 and dd3 to help, as they're the ones who get bored and create havoc.

Something with mince for dinner tonight I think, prob cottage pie as have some froz veg that didn't get put back in the freezer yesterday, oops! Have promised potato scallops and onion rings for lunch, best make sure they have fruit salad with it else their arteries might overload! Need to pop breadmaker on later as well, but want to make up some dough for rolls first. Also need to get WM going and then start black bagging old clothes for the charity bin.

Will have a surf though whilst everyone is still peaceful. Hope everyone has a lovely day. xx

its been so windy here, it blew all the moss off the garage roof so we spend yesterday gathering it up off the lawn.

youngest DD has gone to Skeggy on a coach trip with her BF hoping the weather isnt too bad for them there.

Been gardening and knitting most of the weekend my collection of littl hats is growing again:D .

    Morning everyone,

welcome lindab15, love the avatar :D

Aussie, thanks very much for the suggestions for the curtains yesterday, i`ll have a nosy round for material over the coming weeks.

Well the nasty weather has finally arrived, wet and windy and very cold - ugh!
It`s my last day off today and i was looking forward to getting a bit more done in the garden but that won`t happen now, i shall probably be doing the ironing that didn`t get done yesterday and some cooking.
I need to make tortillas, salad, marinate some pork and cook sausages to freeze. I also need to make a couple of cakes, some hobnobs and cheese & bacon terrine so that will take most of the day.
If there`s any time left over i`ll nip to the shops but i think that just might have to wait, i`ll need to pluck up enough courage to take the dogs out in this rain:eek:

Smoky nice to see you posting yesterday - hope the garden goes well ((((HUGS))))

(((HUGS))) for betheebee, Mrs mix, Penpin and anyone else who i may have missed.

    Have a good day peeps.

    Morning everyone,
never quite made it here to post yesterday, but did have a skim through mid-afternoon. Need to catch up on the rest though.

Welcome to another flurry of newbies, we are getting to be a very big family now, lol!!
((((((hugs))))))) to all those needing them - and even Egg Number 9. Fingers crossed for him/her..... Those in pain or having sleepless nights - make sure you look after yourselves as well as everyone else. Think sometimes we are all too good at putting others first.....
Hester, hope you're enjoying the peace :)
Gin, sorry if it's being too nosey (& tell me if I am!) - did Mr Gin get on ok with his visit to follow up recent activities....???

Got to finish off typing a few notes up this morning, and then into town with youngest DD later. I need to get a t-shirt & some fabric pens as I have to design a crazy t-shirt by Friday morning for my adventure holiday weekend on the Isle of Wight.... (me & 60 foster children! - and some other adults, lol). Not feeling the slightest bit creative or inspired so any suggestions welcome :)

Off to read the rest of yesterday's now, have a good day all.

PenPin, you sneaked in while I was typing - glad to hear you are feeling better. That's a shame about your helper - and that she couldn't tell you properly rather than a late night text :( . Sounds like you could do with someone else, maybe in a few days when you feel even better you can think about finding a replacement?
