    Mortgage-free Glee!
YEA!!! Just phoned, took about 15 minutes, said about sky box playing up and something about shift work/freeview (thought I try it all for good measure). First offered sky + for £49 and said I wasn't thinking of paying out more money since we were going to cancel and was offered the manager's special of FREE!! Installed next week! :j :T

Can I get this deal if I want sky as a new customer and if so how please? Also I just want the most basic of packages because we do not watch much tv but I can't even get the news as we have no freeview where I live and are in a valley. Thanks all of you .

    Hi taffyscot

Check out the referrers board - there are plenty of us on there who have codes for people to get free Sky + if they are a new customer ! The offer is for a free Sky + box with just an installation cost of 30 pounds weekdays !

Does anyone know if they'll speak to someone who isn't the account holder. Our Sky is in my husbands name but he won't ring as he 'can't be bothered with the hassle and arguing' in his words. I've told him it's worked for other people but he won't have it.

Very frustrating as our box is old and plays up all the time.

Or failing that, if we cancelled in my hubby's name would they let me set up as a new customer taking advantage of quidco, new customer deals etc?

I'm not the account holder I did it whilst pretending to be my dad but it's two males so I suppose its more believable. It's worth it, only took about ten minutes for them to offer it to me!!

I have been offered £49, told them I would ask my husband and she said okay, phone down.

Do I accept that deal or try again?
