Hi everyone!
Well everything seems to have got twice as busy since the small person went back to school both at work and at home. Oh well!
Managed to get the hoovering done before I left this morning along with a load of tidying up jobs and the dark wash sorted. This evening I shall be doing the shopping list and weekly menu as I've got the day off tomorrow and I shall be going on a Victorian Herb course:j It's a 40th birthday pressie from my parents.
On the way home last night I ordered a copy of the Paupers Cookbook [thanks Moggins!] from the library so am looking forward to when that arrives.
I think I shall spend this Sat pm in the town Xmas shopping..last time I tried I had the small person with me and it wasn't that easy. You know men and shopping. He can be left behind with his Father and they can do a bit of male bonding over the bargain priced Magnetsticks we got from Wilko [compatible with Magnetix but a fraction of the price!]
Got given a huge bag of plums last night...looks like I shall need to make jam. Have also decided to have a crack at the elderberry cordial recipe from here with the frozen elderberries at some point.
Shop bought quiche tonight [I know I shall be slung off the OS Board again..honestly thought it was Beavers tonight guv:rotfl: :rotfl: ]
OH made the delicious sticky lemon chicken recipe from here last night.
Shall have to wend

I feel quite lazy when I read these posts. How do you all manage to get up, get yourselves and kids ready AND post on OS before 8.20 am? I just cannot manage to do that.
Boss gave me a bag of plums this afternoon from the tree in his garden. Hope he gives me some apples too next week. Might even try making plum jam since jam making seems to be the order of the day here. Will have a wee browse for a good recipe when I get back from the school run. Talking of which, must go soon.
Can't believe my DD brought home the Admissions pack for secondary school next year yesterday.  She only went back to school on Monday and already they are asking for the choices for high school next year. Just gets earlier each year.
(((((((hugs)))))) to all that need them.
P.S. Thanks to the person who gave me the info on timebanks. Nearest one is Merseyside unfortunately but now I know what I am looking for, I can keep looking for one in my area."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
