Has anyone got Paul McKenna's sliming CD - if so is it anygood?????
I found his 'system' extremely good. Losing weight and enjoying(?) it. Doesn't seem like 'slimming' as such - it's about how you approach food.Everything in moderation..............including moderation..............0 -
Fay wrote:Morning everyone
Phew, a busy morning already for me. I went to my old uni yesterday and fetched all my stuff back that I had left their from my thesis and teaching. 2 very large boxes, plus all of my folders etc from my work. It means that my tiny 6'x6' study now has absolutely no room in it at allas I have spent all morning ferrying things to and fro from the car and sorting out what I need to keep. I need to get a new desk and some storage...anyone got any ideas where would be cheapest to get these from? I think argos is looking the best at the moment
But I need to try and get it sorted for next week as I am back to uni

We have just had lunch and am now waiting for that to settle a bit before we go swimming. I have to say thankyou so much to you guys for all the helpful hints and tips and recipes. My life is becoming more OS every day. I made a loaf of banana bread in the BM this morning which was greeted very eagerly by DD when she came in the house from school and the smell wafted to her. My pesto yesterday was a great success and I am ashamed to have never made it myself before - always homemade from now on. And cleaning, well, I positively enjoyed cleaning my kitchen floor with stardrops.
Thankyou all.:T0 -

thanks, Yes I was quite tempted when it aired on QVC.....
catowen/thriftlady - I know the feeling!!! I know what Im supposed to do, eat healthily, go to gym or whatever - but then along comes the dark nights so you dont wann go out once kids are in bed (finally) and that nice cuppa always comes along with a slice of cake!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
I know I need to cut out bread/pots cat, it definately is my weakness but dont you just love a slice of toast with butter on:drool: and i find fruit so boring, eg apples - unless of course they are in a nice pie with cream!:rotfl:
I say it to myself everymorning but I still dont do it??? motivation - who invented that????
Yes my DH is a naturally slim person, never puts on weight:o mind you he never eats breakfast.......
fay - as Jan says try freecycle thats a good place, if not Lidls often have cheap furniture.0 -
for Mimi, Stef and Beachbeth
I've just got in from work, master troo's not here so he must still be at work, which means he hasn't been sacked :rotfl:
I picked up Eve magazine on my way home so I'll be reading that this afternoon
I have a bit of a problem though, the mini-troos have been leaving their wet towels on the floor in their bedrooms. I'm quite happy to leave them there and for their rooms to stink (serves 'em right) but there's not many clean ones left. Do I sneak in and take a couple out to wash them OR do I make them clean their rooms upI usually yell at them (I have to yell, their music's too loud lol) to clean up but they keep telling me how grown up they are and can manage on their own, thanks
I think I should sneak in so they're still under the impression that I'm leaving them to it :think:Bulletproof0 -
Fay - I would definitely try freecycle before buying. You might be able to declutter some of your stuff too, if you have any clutter that is!
I have just started freecycling, & have got rid of some computer stuff (scanner & various leads & other odds & ends), some jam jars I had collected but never used that were taking up larder space & a load of educational books that the kids had outgrown. And I have got a folding bed for the spare room, so I am very pleased!0 -
Hi everyone
Happy birthday LtS and hugs to all who need them.
Well I am very behind in my OS tasks this week...something to do with a little distraction who sits on my lap in the evening methinks:rotfl: :rotfl: The little minx is already costing us money as she's had a tummy upset [thank god for Stardrops and bicarb that's all I can say] so went to the vet yesterday but seems much brighter and hungrier today!!
Anyway shalll be climbing back on the wagon tonight with a mega pile of ironing. Have washed all the floors and put a dark load out to dry.
Am hoping I may just be getting a copy of the TWG for my birthday...I did ask my Mummy ever so nicely when she asked me what I would like!!
OH is doing the bramley apple and potato layered thingy for tea tonight. Can't think of much else at the moment except how pleased I am to have rejoined the cat owners brigade after a whole year.
I shall cease to waffle and leave you lovely people all in peace!!

Hi Jan, I am a member of freecyle but no desks on my area at the momentbut I will keep looking. Thank you and thank you Chipps
On the up side since last posting I have managed to wash and dry 2 loads of washing, clean the house, do all of my ironing, put some of my uni/work stuff away, and make myself a sandwich. Not bad.
Now I just need to sort my clothes and jewellery and do the thesis!0 -
Right then, I'm off to secretly wash some towels
Pssstttt, anyone seen Moggins?Bulletproof0
