Greeting and hugs to everyone. Up early this morning and ironing by 6.50am. Took some inspiration from flylady and doing a bit of ironing every day, this week I've done 4 x half hours, and have about 4 hours to go!!
DH has just gone to work for a couple of hours, DS(4) is going to wash the dishes, so I need to mask the surrounding areas with towels and tea cloths, then get the mop ready for the aftermath.
Going to the garden centre this afternoon hopefully, as I've just had the small front garden altered, and now I've got bare soil. Will catch up later, have a nice day,

Morning all.......(((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to those who need them.....
Bright sunny morning, I will be cooking lunch instead of supper as we are off on our 4 day house sit, so may not be able to post much, will see.
Put a loaf in the BM overnight and also a pot of yogurt to take with us..... bag packed, just have to round up the stray bits we need like book, medication etc...... and we will be set to go.
So nothing planned for today or for the rest of the week, will be back home Thursday afternoon................

Morning all, I can't believe you are on page 2 already!!
Snowy I agree with going sick until you have found a new job. DH got signed off with stress for 2 months last year and found his new job while he was signed off.
Hester I also agree with the mobile home idea, we lived in one for 3 years and it was wonderful. I'd go back now if I had the chance, it was so easy to keep clean and tidy too with a far bigger kitchen than I have now.
Thriftlady thanks for the congratulations but it wasn't mine, I came up with Frugal Ways for Modern Days. I think Bargainrzl got it in the end from what I can remember of the thread.
All the uniforms have been brought downstairs ready for ironing and labelling, all children and animals have been fed and I must sort out the laundry pile that has taken over the dining room table.
Have a good day all.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning everyone:wave:
Up early this morning (7am-early for me for Sunday). Parents are travelling down (from Cumbria) to take the kids to the seaside, can't wait a day of lovely peace and quiet.
Managed to do an hours load of ironing ready for school in the morning and the washing up. Cleaned the house yesterday so thankfully not much left to do today. My kids went back to school last week so uniforms and stuff all sorted.
Weather is dry and fresh but there's the odd grey cloud hanging around. Think I'll make a big batch of 'lobby' today for lunch (can't be bothered with a roast today) lovely with brown sauce and perhaps knock up a couple of bacon 'butties' now.
have a good day all-
p.s my son's comment of the week hope it gives u a giggle:rotfl:
(talking about going back to school)
Dad says- 'When I was a kid I had to wear a second hand blazer and second hand trousers'
sons reply- 'Oh and did you have to wear second hand underpants!!':rotfl: :grouphug:Thanks to MSE and all the moneysaving tips I can now work PT (instead of FT) to pay the bills and still have fun!!:beer:0 -
