Didn't go to the pub for lunch. DH decided he wanted to go for a long walk. Ho Hum.So after 1/2 hr, of course he decided to go bush. Got eaten with mozzies and came home knackered but he seemed to enjoy it.
Just ate a big slab of peanut brittle and feeling slightly queasy. But I should recover shortly for next piece.

Morning Guys!
DD went to a sleepover last night:D So about 10 we were going to bed when the phone went and was OH's 19yr old niece. She had had a massive argument with her mum and asked OH to come and get her which he did. Had a good talk with her, but didnt go to bed till 3am:eek:   OH went to check something on his computer and didnt see him again..fell asleep..that was about midnight...bloomin men:rolleyes: Typical......our first night together in ages and this happens:mad:
WM is on and DW is half full, but toilet is cleaned.
I must finish my essay today as deadline is Tuesday with no extensions at all! Will do some in a minute after some coffee and toast.
DD is being picked up at 12.30 and will have lunch here, then we are out for dinner tonight at friends and there treating us to a take away...although a roast dinner would be perfect:D ...but there not very OS and OH has done so much work on their computer.
Head feels very fuzzy today and will rest up when I can. We have the builders here from tommorrow doing the bathroom which will take all week. Have numerous hospital visits back up london.
Anyway, I must get some coffee and toast.
Hope everyone is well and hugs that arent!
Breakie: Bacon Butty..again!
Lunch: Baked Spud, coleslaw and ham
Dinner: Take-away-probably curry

Morning
Just finished yesterdays thread.
taplady I hope your carboot goes well, I'm sure weatherman promised some sort of sunshine today ? The weather messed up our plans yesterday
Penny-Pincher Good luck with essay, hope your words flow easily
Moggins I hope you eventually got some sleep - had similar experience with noisy neighbours.
Kaz , I really need some of your get up and go today - I acheived very little yesterday, cleaned one cupboard listed 3 things on ebay and then found my way to the sofa with kids again..X factor etc
This school shoes debacle really winds me ! I understand why they are so expensive but it is such hard work buying them, kids hate doing it, parents hate doing it..aaaargh!
Job application did go in yesterday, hand delivered and chanting as I put through theletterbox because I really really really want this one, 2 minutes away from me - on the way to DS2 school, fits in perfectly with school and OH hours in school holidays.
kettle is calling
Have a great day

Good morning everyone
Has rained all night and we have bought tickets to go to a charity football match today!!!! Going to be a muddy day i think! The children wanted to go blackberry picking today but maybe i will try and persuade them that tomorrow would be better - dont fancy getting muddy twice in one day.
Got a small mountain of ironing to get through and unfortunately my washing pile is growing ever bigger!!!
Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning everyone
Sounds like there are a few of us not slleping very well at the moment. I know exactly what you mean about the fuzy head PP that's exactly how I feel - not a headache just as if you're brain's been replaced with cottonwool. Good luck with your essay today.
Good luck with the job application frugaljo & snowy we'll all be crossing fingers & toes so there'll no doubt be lots more typos than usual.
There are a few busy days ahead by the sound of it. I was busy yesterday - taking my mind off things - & spent some of the afternoon making my first ever batch of home made jam. Thanks for the recipie for plum jam pinkwinged, I haven't tried it yet, I need to make a loaf so I can have it on lovely fresh bread.
We went to some friends for a meal last night - yum - I had stuffed aubigine - 2 of our friends who are sisters had to leave early as they got a call from the hospital to say their dad was about to die. It's been expected, he's 87 & has been in hospital in a coma for weeks. They knew it was the end but it's still hard. This is the third of our friends parents to die in the last 12 months. I must make sure I ring my parents later & arrange to go up & see them. They live about 100 miles away & I don't go as often as I should but this really makes me realise I'm lucky to still have them & I need to go regularly whilst I still can.
We're out for a cycle ride today with some friends. The weather is better than yesterday although still a bit windy. We have 24 miles planned so I'm hoping the wind is mostly behind us.
I'm going to put a gammon joint in the slow cooker for DH's dinner in a minute.Yesterday I used it to make a sweetcorn (4 cobs in my veggie box), coconut & chilli sauce that he can have with gammon & I'll have with veggies. I don't know what the sauce will be like as I made it up as I went along but if it's nice I'll put the recipie on the thread.
I also need to make some flapjacks to take with my lunches to work next week. I'm using a recipie that was in my Vegan Society magazine that includes jam so I have the very thing.:D
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
Good Morning!
I'm back!
Did ya miss me?! I was on my honeymoon with Mr Harket. Honest.
Not been busy working & looking after the kids!
Have nice overdraft due to paying childcare fees for the whole of August. I don't think it was worth me working. But I can't take the whole of the summer holidays off.
DD has had entire school holidays to get sick. Now she has been throwing up all night & had a raging temperature. She's not back to school till Tues so hopefully drugging her with calpol shall do the trick
DS starts school a week Monday. He's my baaaayyybeeeeee....
I am working today but I shall have to book tomorrow off as there is noway I can send dd to the childminders in her state.
The decorator is coming on Tues morning to start the 3 bedrooms. Having panic about where I am supposed to put everything while he's doing it. Why haven't I been flyladying eh?!
I know having a decorator in isn't very OS but have u seen DH's wallpapering
Take care all
