Snowy - I'm sure that's the right decision, work is such a big part of our lives it affects everything else. You've got to be happy (or maybe content is enough).

Moggins - so sorry to hear about your neighbours, it's very frustrating because there seems to be s*d all that anyone will do about it. I would complain to the police though - if it happens often enough it might be classed as anti-social behaviour and then they could seek an ASBO.

Still feel a bit pants after doing virtually nothing all day. managed to clean the bathrooom and kitchen so better than nothing.

Hester what a tough time you're having at the moment. I don't know what the right thing to do is but having seen your posts on this forum I'm completely confident thay whatever you decide will be the right thing. You always strike me as a really together lady so just weigh up your options & go with whatever seems right to you.

SnowyIf you want some help with that application form PM me with the questions & I'll see if I can help. I work in a customer service environment & although ours is over the phone (energy supplier) the principles are the same & I interview people for jobs almost every week.
Moggins I really feel for you. If you can't relax & enjoy your own home where can you feel comfortable? Your situation is outside my experience so I can't know how hard it must be but I really sympathise.

HH Downsizing sounds the best alternative. We did it. I thought that you work from home so that wouldn't cause any problems. I would seriously look into other areas where it's cheaper.

It's father's day here today. Just made bacon & eggs for brekky. DD bought DH 1kg bag of Darrol Lea treats. How naughty, I can't possibly let him eat all that by himself. Think of his cholestral. I WILL have to help him.

I am a born and bred Aussie. Been over to UK (stayed in bonnie scotland where I have rellies) twice in my life for holidays. Grandparents on one side were Scottish, other side were Irish. About 18 months ago when we decided to return to the UK for working/holiday I googled about some info and this site came up. I just signed in and starting posting. First chat type board I've ever been on and I think it's fab. Bit hard sometimes with the time difference but I cope. Hope to arrive over there in January. (fingers crossed) It's been such a godsend since we've moved here. Bit isolating at times but lovely place to live IYKWIM. HTH :rotfl:
