Busy day at work, but managed to put dishwasher on this am after making pack lunches and put wm on so house tidy when I got back home from school run with extra kids for tea. They all had pasta and bacon with veg, hubby and I had chilli from the massive amount of mince I did in the sc last week! Dw back on (again) clothes on line now soaked in the rain! About to have shower and go to the pub(rare event!) so see you all tomorrow!

Not sure where in Moray you are but Asda in Elgin stock stardrops with all the other cleaning products and Savers in Forres stock it as well - Asda is cheaper though - HTH

am not usually around at this time as I'm more of a lark than an owl and should be tucked up in bed but I've got a really annoying tickly cough and its keeping OH awake(and me!) so I decided to get back up and treat myself to a bowl of caramel icecream - purely medicinal! :D

Off to get some medicine in the morning I think!

Queenie, I'd love to have a go at making this. Where do you get your almond oil? I did a quick search and the price seems to vary enormously, and I'm not sure whether the quality is variable.

    Morning everyone

I've been around a while now, thought the thread would have been started already. Well, let me do the honours.....

It's Tuesday, not really the most happening day of the week in the SnowyOwl household. Now let me see, what antics shall I be up to today....hmmmm...

Well, I suppose I could tackle the inside of the oven...but I haven't got a chisel...so that's for another day.

And I suppose could even scrub the kitchen floor...I've got the Stardrops...but oh no! Would you believe, I haven't got a scrubbing brush, so d'oh can't do that one either!!

    I know:idea:!!!!

I'll bake a lovely cake and spend the day having naughty nibbles!!

    Happy Tuesday everyone

  • Hi, Snowy! I was just looking at who was on, and thought you'd probably start today's thread!

Been over on FLC III, and doing my paperwork hotspot atm.

Been doing some mending while watching video of "Ballet Changed my Life", C4 documentary, getting kids' lives back on track through classical dance. Very interesting.

Shez, what did you think of the chook pic? Cute, isn't she! Billie won't stay still long enough to have her photo taken  DS has asked for omelette for breakfast - I've told him he'll need to collect some eggs, as I baked with all I had yesterday.

When DD and I came back from guides last night, there was a baby toad on the step! DD picked it up and it hopped all around the kitchen. There was a big one in the garden in the summer, so this one might be its offspring. Strange time, though? Shouldn't they be fully grown by now, to survive the winter?

Many thanks to whoever pointed me in the direction of She magazine, with free Nigel Slater book - plenty of good ideas there!

Off to w*** for 2 days, and need work doing on my car, so lots of running back and forth with that.

    Experimenting with inserting smilies: 23_9_10.gif

    Oooh, looks like it works!

    Have a good day, all.
