Just got back from school with my 2 youngest plus friend's 2 youngest. Fed them hm scones with hm jam, freind's little girl wanted to know whether the jam tasted like 'normal jam' She scarfed it down though. Her brother didn't like the scones because 'I dunno, I just don't like cakey things', blimey I wish I didn't like cakey things
Anyway the girls are building cities out of bricks and the boys are playing on gameboys, so all is peaceful. Friend should be here soon to deliver my eldest and take her lot away.
Nothing too strenuous planned for tea- leftovers from freezer. Will get on with packing lunches for tomorrow when I've finished my cuppa.
See you all later0 -
Afternoon Guys!!
Plumber has been an fitted a new large radiator in the lounge which means OH has had to switch the 4 seater sofa to where the 3 seater sofa is. The 4 seater has been risen for me to make it easier to get on and off and now feels very different being on the other side of the living room:eek: ...its effected my fengshui (sp):rotfl:
OH has finished fitting the plugs in the kitchen and a few touch ups need doing to the walls.
Havent done much else and am just waiting on a call from my consultant.
Anyway, have to go and help DD with her HW. She made cheese on toast today at school:rolleyes: ....luckily she has done this many times before, but many hadnt even grated cheddar before:eek: ...shameful!
HUgs to all.

Evening everyone :hello:
Happy birthday to Mr BadExample and Dobie!
Welcome :hello: to Little Miss Neat
I've just tried to lock my car and it seems that the lock on the boot has decided not to work  Nothing to do with the central locking system.... I think! I'll have to get DH to look at it when he gets back, but it'll be a bit of a problem driving anywhere............ I can't even put the car in the garage as we've got loads of stuff in there for when we move! :wall:
I've told DH that he's cooking supper tonight as I've got loads of work to do before I get observed tomorrow morning by a "School Improvement Advisor". It's all to do with us being in Special Measures. I hope that it goes well, but my class is really testing and pushing my patience. I was nearly in tears today because they were so awful. I've never had a class this bad - even when I was doing supply teaching, when even the best behaved children try to wind you up!
Anyway, this marking pile won't get any smaller with me being on MSE, I'm afraid!
Take care

Evening everyone.
Feeling pretty poopered again this evening. Work was hectic as usual, but only 4 more days to go. We are supposed to be stopping back till 8:15 on Thursday night, but i think i will be getting out of that. Dopey head of department was trying to give me jobs to do, and i had to say, don't think i'll be there, but if i have to be i won't be doing much. Daft man.
I forgot to get anything out for tea again, so i think it will be quick cook pasta out of the freezer with tomato and tuna sauce.
I need to try and do a bit of school work, and 15 minutes on the office tidy up mission. Will see how i feel
Happy birthday dobie and mrbadexample.

I was asked via PM for the recipes I'm using for my HM bath lotions and potions which I made over the weekend.
So, here are my versions from recipes located on the web:-
(sources)
Whipped Cream Soaps
Source: Whipped Cream Soap Recipes
1 1/2 cups (110 grams) ‘Dripak’ soap flakes
10 Tbsp (150 ml) distilled water
1 Tbsp (15 ml) glycerine
1 Tbsp (15 ml) almond oil
15 - 25 drops of E.O. (essential oil) I used lavender
In a double boiler, put the soap, water, glycerine and oil and melt over a medium heat. Stir with a chopstick or spoon handle. When mixture becomes a lumpy paste, remove from heat and add essential oil. Whisk by hand or with an electric beater until creamy. Pour into moulds and leave in a cool place to set.
The mould I used was a Kingsmill crumpet container (BOGOF @ Tesco's atm) so I’ve got a semi circular ‘log’ to cut into slices.
These are very, very lightweight!
Edited to add:
These remain a soft, spongey, soap even after refrigeration
I would not recommend putting them into a large ‘mould’ for cutting later, but instead to put them into a smaller, individual mould. To be honest, I’m rather disappointed in their quality as a gift soap because they are simply waaay too soft.
Mine won’t go to waste, just wanted those to know who may/not replicate the recipe posted of their quality.

Foaming Vanilla Honey Bath -
Source: Recipe Goldmine Bath Recipes (loads of recipes!)
1 cup almond oil
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup liquid soap (I used shampoo)
1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
Mix together all the ingredients in a jar, screw on the lid and shake to mix it all together.
Decant into your chosen presentation bottle and make a label listing the ingredients and instructions.
To use, shake before using. Pour a small amount slowly into the bath under running water.
Caution: Use a bathmat to avoid slipping/accidents, as the oil can leave a residue in the bath. (Easily cleaned though)
Bottles: I have used the smaller, specialised flavoured oil bottles ie walnut oil (thoroughly cleaned out) and even replaced the plastic inner stopper so that you can control how much you pour into your bathI've used sealing wax to seal the lid, although that is a bit thick, will experiment with candle wax with next batch, and made my own labels tied around the neck of the bottles.

Hi It's me :hello:
I've not posted for a while - I decided to let the dust settle IYKWIM;)
Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes. I've been thoroughly spoilt & have loved every minute.
Haven't done very much OS today except the FABULOUS vegan chocolate cake I took into work for my team was HM.
We're about to decorate our back bedroom then me & DH are moving into that one (to take advantage of the lovely view mainly) so I had a clear out of my wardrobe the other day & I was appalled. I have SO MUCH stuff. I tend to buy clothing because it's cheap & I like it, not because I need it so I've set myself a challenge.
I'm not buying any clothes for a whole 12 months.
Now I've told you all I'm going to have to do it too.
I'll let you know how I get on.
I'm off to enjoy my second glass of wine. Well it IS my birthday.0
