Nels - have a fab time. We have always stayed at the Hilton Sharks Bay, which is pretty much the other end of Sharm. If you go into Na'ama Bay to eat, make sure you go to the mexican, it's fab. The japanese Teppanyaki is pretty good too.
My in laws are out there at the moment, I wish it was me! But still, less than 6 weeks til Australia :T :j

    :hello: Morning everyone
It's the first day of my week off today and I am raring to go! After having a very stressful weekend I decided to stay in bed and watch some TV this morning, only to be got up by b/f's dad, who then stayed for an hour an half so I am late on my plan!

Anyway today I am going to:
Strip, hoover and re-make front bed-done
Strip, hoover and re-make our bed-half done, mattress covers are in the washer
    Clean bathroom
    Hoover whole house-half done
    Clean kitchen
    Clean living room
    Sort jewellery out
    Sort wardrobes out
Bring all my work folders etc into the house and try to store them....
    Iron

Think I will get it all done today, I do because I have to! I need the rest of the week to write my PhD thesis!

I am also going to make a ragu to go into the freezer (Delia's recipe is fab and makes 16 portions!) and try some flap jacks...are they very very fattening?

Have a great day everyone :) My house will stink of vinegar tonight :D
  • Morning all! Happy birthday to Mr Bad Example and Dobie! It's my DS's birthday too, and I'm missing him :(, he's 200 miles away at uni.

Just got in from my usual Monday morning walk, got up especially early to get a load of washing on the line before I went and of course it's pouring now :( Never mind, it'll have to stay there until it dries now.

Woke to the gorgeous smell of a loaf baking in the BM so another job ticked off the list. Going out in a mo to the bank etc and then on to do a bit of (hopefully) Christmas shopping

    Breakfast: Crumpets
Lunch: ? probably HM soup and HM bread roll
Dinner: Beef stroganoff with rocket and tomato salad

    Have a great Monday everyone!

Kiwichick get a nice whistling kettle that goes on the hob like I did, I love it and it will never break! Also stops you wasting electricity by forgetting you put it on cos that whistle can't be ignored!
I've got one of these and it's fab. One cup's worth of water boils in 2 mins. OH thinks it is the reason the gas bill has rocketed  , but it isn't, I keep telling him it's because the gas has just got more expensive.

Just sitting down with a coffee. Have 2 lots of washing on the line as it's warm and sunny here. I wonder when we're going to get colder weather ? I haven't needed a coat yet.

Been to Tesco's where all the freezers were being cleared because of a gas leak I think. Everything was being binned  Been to the farm shop where they were selling 4 lb bags of small apples for £1. Not only cheaper than the big ones, they will last longer because there are more of them, after all you eat an apple don't you, whether it's big or small ;)

    Morning everyone

Well, I didfinish my apron on Saturday, and prepared the fruit for Christmas cakes, and prepared the mixture for christmas puddings -hurrah. Today I'm steaming all the christmas puddings - I have 12 on the go - and they take 8 hours. I'm also baking three Christmas cakes, using the fruit mixture I prepared on Saturday.

First lot of washing is on the airer, and I'm just sitting down with a lovely espresso, to chat to you guys and to do my banking. And emails.

According to Flylady.org, this week is Living Room week, and I', psyching myself up to start. In a minute or two. Or ten.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Had three loads of washing on the line and it has just started to rain!!!

    Dragged it all back inside.

Baby bonds are due to mature for two oldest but DH has put the certificate away safely!!!! No idea where!!! So I need to go to bank tomorrow to see if they are there.

    Hugs to all!

  • afternoon folks!

carpets removed from the 2 bedrooms. Boy, I am strong!!!!

Then made a start on my kitchen which needs a good clean. Stardrops at the ready! Have shined (shone?!) my sink!

Just had some homemade couscous for lunch (left over from yesterday) & am eating some delicious chocolate fudge cake that I made yesterday!

Oh & I broke a nail. Luckily I don't get heartbroken about those sorts of things!

  • Wow. I never normally read the daily threads :o and about 800 of you have wished me happy birthday! :D

Thank you all so much! :A :T

I know a lot of you like cats, so here's the e-card me mum sent me. You'll need the sound on! :D :rotfl:

And happy birthday to Dobie who, I confess, I don't think I know. :o:(
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
