  • Morning everyone

Happy birthday to Mr BE and Dobie

DD2 played in her football match yesterday and she got the player of the match certificate - I was so proud.

Unfotunately towards the end of the match DS complained of tummy ache so when match finished we went straight home and he didnt want his dinner or tea and at 9pm he started being sick. So I have DS at home today and he has been sick again this morning and he has only had water to sip!! So no school tomorrow either as his school has a policy of children staying away for 24 hours after they have been sick. He is now lying on the sofa like a limp lettuce - I hate it when they are sick - i really dont know what to do for them to make them feel better - bless him.

WM is on, massive ironing pile and tea to sort out for tonight as DH has governors meeting at 7pm.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    morning all!

DH and DD off to work and childminder's respectively, meaning that I've got the whole day for revision

DW on; WM on; SC on with a chilli (3 meals worth)

Hope everyone has a good day - only 2 more days of revision and then it's all over!! :j :j

    Morning everyone :)

Happy Birthday Dobie and Mr BE

I too am sat here twiddling my thumbs waiting for a 8am - 1pm delivery, this is the second T.V cabinet I am waiting for as the first came last week with the drawers placed the wrong way round so that the handles were on the inside. My library runs a childrens craft session at 11.30am and so it looks like we will have to miss that. I also need to desperately do a shop and get ds some new trousers for school.

Vastsarah, we are the same at christmas, we always try and get a daft picture of the children in a pseudo serious christmas scene and use it to make christmas cards, last year they were father christmas (dd) and a reindeer (ds), I am trying to think up something good for this year as Dh's family are in New Zealand and miss the kids loads so it is nice to give them all a giggle, the children are going to hate me for it when they are older though!

For lunch dd and I will have hm tomato soup and dinner will be chicken and avocado salsa.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning All!!

Raining this morning, but brightening up now. DH and I snarled at each other this morning so not feeling too good about that, will text him later.

DS was so good at dentists on Saturday, they gave him gas initially and that was sufficient, he was so cute, giggled and acted like a little drunk, didn't want to go when it was time to leave, bless him. :A

Not much OS today as was doing school run and am at work until 3. WM is on timer and should be going when I get back from school run this pm. Dinner tonight is pasta with chicken, peppers and pesto, bit of an invention, had it in a restaurant last week and figured it would be an easy one to make!

Need to sweep floors this evening after having 5 kids rampaging yesterday but rest of house is spick and span. Need to post an Ebay parcel for DH, drop in some dry cleaning and finish curtain I am making for kids toy cupboard, got most of it done watchin Jane Eyre last night, which I loved.

Happy Birthday Dobie and Mr BE!!!!

Hugs to all in need, take care and enjoy your day.

    Morning All,

Havent had time to read or post the last few days so HUGS to all in need.

Busy time here in the house of Kiwi. I seem to have gone from being stuck indoors watching tv of an evening to being busy busy busy with meeting after meeting. Last week I had 3 meetings and this week I have 4 meetings, am cooking for a McMillan Cancer Relief fundraiser, doing adult nibbles for a friends 5 year old party and one day this week (not telling you all which) I have my 4th driving test:eek:. Add to that the fact that DH is away for 2 days and it makes for stress. I want to curl up in bed and sleep but no chance as the house is a tip owing to the fact we had the inlaws over this WE and I havent had time to sort it out since they left. I have DSD this weekend so cant relax then either..................might get some sleep in..................about december???

Oh, and my kettles sodding well broken so cant have decent coffee SOB SOB SOB. Its the 3rd kettle thats died on us in the last year and we always get cheapies so am now trying to decide whether or not to pay out for a dearer one this time - any adivce???

Righto, off to boil a pan of water for some coffee now before I get cleaning and baking.

    Love to all,
    Allison.

Yes, still feeling rubbish, think I overdid it a bit yesterday. OH wasn't here to make me rest up, so I went a bit mad & my tonsills are making me pay for it this morning! Still in my dressing gown at 20 past 10  am def going for a shower in a minute......

Made a scrummy red onion tarte tatin yesterday, it was really good (even if I do say so myself!) and really easy. Will post the recipe if required. Also had my first attempt at chicken soup with a leftover carcass, so will have to see what that turns out like. Hopefully it will do me for lunch, plus a few portions for the freezer.

Nelski - am so jealous that you're going to Sharm - have been there for past 3 years in September. Where are you staying? Hope TNT man turns up soon.

Hugs to all, hope that foot gets better soon joannasmum & good luck to everyone clearing away after scout camp!
  • Hello all and happy birthday to the birthday gal and guy!

Got the DW to do a load before I went to work. Proud that I managed a whole weekend without letting the boyf talk me into takeaways!

Beans soaking at home in preparation for chilli.

Decorating is nearly done so will have to do some tidying when I get home, ick!

Kiwichick get a nice whistling kettle that goes on the hob like I did, I love it and it will never break! Also stops you wasting electricity by forgetting you put it on cos that whistle can't be ignored!

Right I will go and do some work now, bye!

    Morning everyone.

DS off at school for a full day. So DD on her own - she is sooo much easier to take care of (well, most of the time.)

BM on, DW unloaded, WM on - off to mop kitchen floor. Mopping will be soo much easier on my own - we won't have to swim to the door (aah - I miss him really)

SC arrived this morning - woo hoo. Unfortunately meal plan for week means I don't really have a chance to use it.

Risotto for dinner. Dunno what DD and I will have for lunch - HM bread and peanut butter? Could be.

    take care all.

  • Morning all:wave:

Being a busy bee this morning so just stopping for a quick cuppa. In the middle of sorting out DS room, got piles of stuff all over it really did need a good bottoming.

Had a super weekend what with shopping on friday and then going out on the town with DH on saturday night. Went for a ' eat as much as you want ' chinese buffet and came away stones heavier but the best bit was its £9.99 per head:T Will def go back and take the kids on a sunday as its even cheaper.

Have a super day, off to post on Flylady

    Take care
