    Hi everyone

Not done a great deal today. Spent most of it sat in the car because we took my youngest son to university.

I'm quite proud of myself because I was very brave and didn't cry ( well not until I was in the car anyway ):j :j I feel a little odd as if somethings missing and I know that it will take a bit of getting used to.

The weather has been absolutely fantastic today. Warm and sunny with a light breeze.

Altogether it has been a GOOD DAY.

Now I'm going to put my feet up and have a cup of tea:smiley:

Your right my keyboard did die and I couldn't do much as I was wo***ing today but managed a trip to tesco and picked up a new keyboard and mouse for under £11.00 so that wasn't too bad.

  • Good evening everybody! :hello:

Back from Eastbourne, where me, purpleprincess, Lillibet & Spud had a lovely picnic on the beach, shared briefly by scuzz & friend (at the beginning) and Mr Lillibet (at the end).

Pics will be posted shortly on the OS Meet thread, just as soon as I sort them out :D

The weather was loooovely and now I'm sunburnt all over my face and on my back where my T-shirt is supposed to meet my jeans. Ouch.

Everybody is fab and Spud is a little smasher :D

I met a quite well-known opera singer on the train back to London (he'd been rehearsing at Glyndebourne for their autumn tour) and got chatting briefly.

See you shortly on the other thread with some photos from the lovely sunny beach!

    Rzl xx

EDIT: And here is a quick link to my post with the photos...

oh them photos are brill.. Spud is gorgeous!!!

Today has been pretty food orientated...Baked for the first time in ages! :j Only made an apple pie for tomorrows pudding ( and a large jam tart with the leftover pastry ;)) but it felt good as i havent baked in a good few months.

Also made a loaf in my breadmaker as OH finished the other one rather quickly... im a bit unhappy with the results though.. i did a 1.5lb loaf but it seems tiny!! Its also a bit damp. Followin the directions to the exact amount?? Guess i'll just have to have a play with ingredient quantites next time.

Went to sainsburys and spent over £20... wasnt expecting that much and almost didnt have enough at the counter! :o But that did include non-alcoholic wine and beer for myself as i cant drink at the mo due to being on 4000mg of paracetamol and 80mg of codeine a day + antibiotics!! ) Also went to home and bargain and got some "anthony worral thompson" cous cous with lemon for 29p!!!!! Never tried cous couse before... but for that price if i hate it, its not toooo much of a waste.

Then i came home and made tea... homemade wedges with dips, pizza and garlic bread. The poor breadmaker got a bashing as it was used twice in one day :rotfl:

Hoping tomorrow is less food orientated.. im meant to be trying to lose weight! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Morning all!

Children back from their weekends away. DD now loves waterskiing. She's going on a watersport trip with school next easter so will get another chance to try. We're definitely landlubbers :D

DS had a fun time at Scout camp. He was pretty grubby, and his wash bag, as predicted, was unopened (though he assures me he cleaned his teeth  ). Sent e-mail to the leader, thanking him for looking after the boys, he replied "Soap is a precious commodity which causes environmental damage; it is supplied stictly upon request and otherwise kept under lock and key….." :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Made more blackberry muffins yesterday, so we all sat in my bed with a video, muffins, and special hot choc.

More jam making today (damson then morello from cherries frozen earlier in the summer) and Flyladying my dining room.

Happy Birthdays to Mr BE  and Dobie  !

I'm really loving Mr BE's Pie Challenge Thread! Might make a chicken pie myself.

Have a great day, Penny. x
