  • Hi, all! Doddsy, sorry to hear you're not so well. Hope you can get sorted on Monday.

As you can see, I've succeeded in inserting photo of DD's feet and Ecochick! Aren't they cute! :D Very please with myself, but unable to insert text into the same message. Will try again later.

Off to sing in 20 mins - this is the time I get nervous. Wish me luck, as I have no moral support from my family tonight, though I'll be fine once I'm there. Have chestnut hair, as of today - that'll cause a stir in the chior!

OMG!!!! Pen Pen, "Ecochick" is a stunner!!!! Is she one of the chicks you hatched earlier this year? (oops, sorry, dd's feet are cute too :o )

Good luck with your singing  It's not "nerves" ... it's ... adrenalin ;)

By cooking it tonight, by the time it's been refridgerated, it will carve thinner too ;) I'm defrosting a chicken for tomorrow (diet gawn squiff :o ) and that will cook while we're at the footie match (any posi vibes directed towards the "Colts" tomorrow from 2pm onwards gratefully received) ;)

    Pen Pen. Ecochick is gorgeous!

Doddsy, sorry to hear your news (((((hugs)))))

Well, went to the French market and almost collapsed at the prices! Is France across the channel or over on the far side of the universe! Fortunately there was a cheese stall and it was quite reasonable, so I indulged a little.

BM in on for the 3rd time today. There is a large flock of gannets outside masquerading as a baby coot. 20050507004tbr4.jpg

It's best mate appears to be a huge carp who swallows anything the gannet/coot leaves

They are NOT getting my beef and parsnip stew; talking of which, time to go sample it :D. And then maybe it needs a Guiness to go with it :D:D

And in case you are wondering, of course I sampled the French Wine :rotfl:

Have a nice evening everyone icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

  • Good Evening All

Not a very productive day O/S wise but hey ho I fancied a day off.
Lots of batch cooking tommorrow as DH is working away all week, 5 days of having control of the tv remote- heaven :)

((hugs)) to Doddsy - you have my sympathies, I had kidney stones a couple of years ago and I can safely say it was the most painful thing that I have ever known- yes even worse than labour. Hope you feel better soon.

    Have a good evening all

  • Helloooo *hic*

Today turned out somwhat different from that planned. Mr TM walked in room and announced he was going to Kwik Fit to get a new tyre. Me.. "Nooooo, let me check". Upshot was I went to Costco where upon examination - I find BOTH front tyres need replacing. So, with fees, I'm £250 down before I set foot in the place :(

Ooops, who let me through the door of Selfridges? And even worse, who let me look at make-up and skin care. Ah well, it's not on the joint CC so Mr TM won't know :rotfl:

Then had to arrange for Mr TM to take boys to a friends house as I was late back from Manchester and he had an eye test, so took a bottle of wine round to say thanks .... which we drank .... then some more ... on an empty stomach. Mr TM , who had returned, collected boys and taken them back, phoned to say he was hungry and had ordered a takeaway curry :p

Ah well, the washing, ironing and sewing will still be there tomorrow. Oh well, will await my takeaway (which Mr TM thought had just arrived but it hasn't :()

    Have a good evening

    TM

(do you know how many times I have had to correct this post :D I'm not drunk your honour .... honestly :D)

    PS ((hugs)) doddsy
  • Hello to all, hope you are well!

Haven't posted here much lately due to being extremely busy with flood damage in my flat :( Place looks like a bombsite as is being decorated (water got in the walls) so not much chance to do my OS cleaning etc apart from wiping down the kitchen and bathroom etc, as everything keeps getting covered in dust (sanding down walls etc). Trouble is I only have a studio flat so there is nowhere to put anything whilst we are working on it.

Just realised that my washing is still outside on its airer, and I am too scared to go out in the dark in case a spider is lurking!

Off to make a fish pie in a bit (we eat quite late here, well at least the boyf likes to!). Just hauled all my food shopping home in my chic shopper and string bag, feel quite proud of that (do have a car but it's barely worth starting up for the shops).

Have a lovely evening all :)
