As there is a thread already discussing these issues, perhaps that would be a better place to air your thoughts?

  • AussieLass, when you say you're going to care for your DGS I take it you mean full-time for a while? That's some committment!! I know you're years younger than me ( ) but none-the-less, one hell of a job. Much as I love my DGS (3 at the end of this month) one day a week has me on my knees!!!But hey, family must come first. And I think this IS the very essence of OS!!
Family ties are core to OS ways. OK we may not live in the same street, or even towns anymore, but in the "good old days" people always had family close by enough to help out.

You take care and look after yourself, you're going to need to be on top form, but I know you'll manage fine.

On a lighter, and nosier!!!( I'm nothing if not honest!!) line, I hope we're still going to get photos of house's progress. I'm a real sticky beak and exceptionally proud of it!!

    CMxx

But you have lost a lot of regular posters in the process:confused: or was this the intention so the 'original crew' could have their small group together as it was? perhaps people feel threatened/jealous by others:confused:

I don't think that's correct Ageandjo and it was instigated out of trying to improve the thread. Nobody disputes it was getting a bit long. But saying that the new rules once they are made will have to be abided by everyone. There are a lot of lovely people on this board and I don't think many knows who the original crew were. I know I don't. Reading the vault contents I would say someone called Cathy played a big part on this board. I must go now. :D Heaps of painting to do.

  • CM I planned on taking the camera up with me for morning tea. That is if I get around to making them morning tea. :rotfl:

Yes, full - time for a while. This place we are renting is about the size of a shoe box and we have 4 adults in it now. It's going to be challenging to say the least. It takes me about 1 week now to get over one of his visits. :D But what can you do, he's flesh and blood and the innocent party of all this mess his parents created. We love him dearly. It's been so long though, my youngest is 22. I hope it's like riding a bike. :p You never forget.

morning everyone. I don`t post on here hardly at all but yesterday`s thread inspired me

To the non-sleepers: have you had a really good look at your caffeine intake after lunch ie tea including green tea, coffee, cola, chocolate. I suggest cutting the whole lot out. If you have to have a (fairly) coffee-like drink then try bambu

another idea, make your last drink of the day camomile, this works for really well.

I am wok hunting today. I want a stainless steel one with a round bottom and without a long handle. I`ll start with tkmaxx. Can`t beat a wok for getting the veg done fast

have you got a chinese shop/supermarket/supplier near you?

My youngest is 24!! I'm sure it is!! DIL had to return to work for 3 months when DGS was just 1 year old. I had to have DGS 2 days a week from 7am until 7pm!! I soon settled into a routine, but am not sure now how I managed!!! But reiterate you need to look after yourself!! As you say DGS never asked to be part of this, love him!! Even now DGS and I have a terrific bond!! He tells his mum that after her and his dad, I'm his favourite person!!!!
That kid knows which buttons to press!!
