Hola :hello: Me llamo, Queenie
Qué tal?

What a lovely hour that turned out to be  If any of you are offered the opportunity to do a free course with your children alongside you in their school with their teacher ... don't!! :rotfl: L'il smart AlexesActually, *do*!! Great fun for them to know more than their ole mum
Supportive too, "don't worry, mum, you did great; we'll help you back home
"
My brain cells are dead I think - especially when I've just gone to sign in and typed "Congratulations" as my user name! while thinking of Kats post.
:j Great news, Kat :T :T Best of luck in your new job and I'm sure you'll find lots of scrummy things for your packed lunches; we've had a number of threads on that topic recently, plus don't forget to check the Mega Index too
Posh, Pen-Pen - the Thanks button was introduced (afaik) to reduce the number of posts people make saying ta for this and ta for that or acknowledging someone for something else they may have said/done or sometimes people use it because they laughed at something someone wrote etc. So, if it's being used more now ... :j :T ... it means it's being used for it's intended purpose.
at - good to see you posting back on here! (Why do I always want to abbrev. your user name to ap?
troo - do, please, track down moggins! ((moggins))
I'm scheduling a baking day tomorrow because I've just remembered the gas mains are being turned off Thursday, don't know how long that will be for, and I need to get these plums cooked up into something freezeable. Oh did I mention the "coals to Newcastle"? My friend kindly gave me ... 40 quails eggs!! So, they'll come in handy for baking tomorrow :rotfl: I feel a Seed Cake coming on seeing as I snagged a bag of caraway seeds at the Thai shop too. Haven't had seed cake for years

Just a quickie from me - another fan of the 'new style' DT, very much easier to read without losing the essential details of what everyone has been up to
Not a great deal of OS'ing from me today as pesky work and a head cold have got in the way but I did spend a happy hour this evening making Nigella's Onion Tart from her 'Domestic Goddess' book, it's really lovely and I felt like a proper cook for doing it.
The rest of the evening's been spent on the sofa with the fire on :embarassebut I'm feeling poorly and it is cold up here tonight....

Hiya everyone,
Well TBH I found the new thread at times very hypocritical. For those people who pointed out *others* faults with the thread they are doing the same thing. Long unrelated chats nothing to do with OS and of course the singling out thing being which is a big no no. Even saw a recipe posted from a board guide.Wasn't that suppose to be put somewhere else. So it's a case of obviously - Do as I say, but ignore what I do hey. Please don't get huffy, but I'm a upfront sort of gal and say what I think.
Happy Birthday Joanne  Hope you feel a bit better. Awful to be crook on your birthday. Welcome to all the newbies. Won't name them all but you know who you are. :T My plans are painting today. I'm taking morning tea up to the fella's and will start then. I got the phone call last night, bit later than I thought.
XDIL isn't coping with DGS (17 months) and we have agreed to care for him. I don't know what impact that will have on us or our plans. I get him next week as he has his needles on Friday and this week is too much with the house getting built. I have a stinking headache this morning and feel rather weighted down with the responsibilty. Anyway better stop rambling as this really isn't OS is it. Snowy, I hope you get a decent nights sleep. ByeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Evening AussieLass
As my post is one you are undoubtedly referring to, I shall break with the new "rules" to explain.
I posted a longer post because many people weren't exactly sure what to put and to try and bring back a little of the spirit people said had gone.
The idea is not merely to list all your OS things you intend/did today, but to have a chat and impart any information you wish to. And yes, I did speak to one particular person, because I was making a pertinent comment to something that had been raised. What has stopped, in the main, is the "need" to say something to everyone individually, when there is no need.
The post is about YOUR day, which may include varying levels of OS. If you haven't been particularly OS one day, please still come on and tell us. I'm trying not to be hypocritical, but the thread has returned a long way towards it's origins and I believe that most people have found it easier to read and hopefully gain whatever it may be out of it.

 Been off sick for a couple of days and return to  Can't leave you lot alone for one minute
Nothing OS of any discription has been done in the Ice household since last Thursday due to my illness, O/H & kids have lived on take-aways and everywhere looks like a bomb site.:wall:
I expect to see everyone on Flylady (including you moggins:D ) bright un early tommorrow.
Night night all:wave:

But you have lost a lot of regular posters in the processor was this the intention so the 'original crew' could have their small group together as it was?
perhaps people feel threatened/jealous by others

Personally, I think that's unfair and unfounded.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
