Morning everyone, not read the thread through yet as I only have 30minutes computer time left and I've got LOADS I still need to do
I'll read it through properly when I come on at lunch time
I overslept this morning and ended up making OH late setting off for work. Serves him right though for not disturbing me when he got up (Yes, I'm a rare person who LIKES to be disturbed in the morning by OH getting up). I actually had a panic this morning as I woke up and thought "WHat the hells going on? WHy isn't OH in bed?" Then I realised it was something like 6.15 and he was already up and ended up going back to sleep :rotfl: When he did come in to wake me he got "Go away. I'm not here. I've emergrated to Pluto. This is just an empty shell and a recorded message" from me buried under the quilt. :rotfl: The bedroom was the coldest I've had yet this month and the windows were running with water - probably not helped by the fact I had the wet washing hanging in the bedroom overnightMust remember to not do that again until we start having the heating on in there.
Had to wash DD's uniform again last night. I'm going to see if they have any skirts left in her size when we go to Asda tomorrow as I had to iron it this morning. I have some more ironing to do and the house needs "blessing" right through. Personally I'd prefer a can of petrol and a lit match ATM as I'm not in the mood to do cleaning but needs must.
Need to get on otherwise I won't get everything done. Later :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
There's no danger of me running out of ironing tired mum - I've 2 large overflowing baskets from last week, a load on the line, a load in the wash, two loads on the landing, and one/two in DS1's bedroom. (not including bedding and towels of course!) Thanks for your kind offer anyway
Pen pen - first on the list of makes was green tom chutney - but the green toms I picked are nearly ripe, lol(Can I still follow the same recipie with them?). I've also the plums (chutney) and blackberries (jam) to get through - but they are in the freezer.
It's absolutely gorgeous here today, and even better I think my nasty neighbours are away. Unfortunately the fence is now at the two man job stage or I'd crack on with that. I think they may have been away all week, so unfortunately that may mean they'll be back tomorrow. Shame.
In the meantime I feel great - would be a shame to spoil it by ironing surely
Sorry to hear that the exchange isn't going ahead now ageandjo, but at least now you've got things in place so it will happen at some point.
Moggins - you could allways leave him behind, I'm sure we could find you a nice new model
OMG!!! Shez, reading your post I just remembered part of my dream - I was wearing my nan's winciette nightie in it! IF only I could remember the rest - I do recall it was lovely and cosy
Chipps - make sure you get plenty of vits and drink loads of water etc, should haelp shake it off quicker. I've been starting my day with a glass of warm water with half a lemon squeezed in it. Hate it, but I'm sure it's helped
Right, got to try and decide which of the 'I want to' and 'I should do' things I'm actually going to do
Have a great day everyone

Morning all..........(((((((HUGS))))))) to those who need them. Especially Ageandjo, I know what its like to have your hopes raised and then cruelly dashed..........
Not feeling too happy this morning
I am feeling very down, we have been looking at caravans hoping to get back on the road again, we both miss it so much.........but its a no-no.......we just do not have the cash, and by the time we do I think OH will be past wanting to hitch up and go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like so many things in our lives its just not to be. I really cannot put myself in the position of having to work again to fund the purchase of a caravan..........at 63 I think I deserve a bit of a rest................
Nice bright morning.......OH has gone off to the allootment, I have just taken a laof out of the BM, need it to cool off for lunch........have a laod of whites almost ready by the time I put my knickers bra and socks in tonight I will have a full load, so an overnighter.......
Managed to get a patchwork bag done yesterday afternoon, its a sample for the kits, just have to cut the rest of the fabric, find some bags and do the instructions, that will be another job finished.
Right I am off for my caffine fix...........

Morning :hello:
TGI Friday! Tomorrow I will be able to have my first lie-in for several weeks, and I'm soooooooo looking forward to it! Although I hope I don't sleep all day as I have lots to do around the house, I am NOT, repeat NOT, setting my alarm. If I wake up in time to watch Saturday Kitchen in bed, I'll consider I've done well
I should probably make a fish pie tomorrow, as I have a freezerful of fish and meat, and REALLY must get back into Old Style habits, having spent the last few weeks having no time or energy to cook (not to mention no forward-planning skills) and therefore buying takeaway lunches and spending money as if it was water
BIG blitz on house required this weekend. Just cos the HA's solicitor can't pull her flippin' finger out, doesn't mean I don't need to prepare to move house:rolleyes:
Bye for now - hugs to anybody in need (specially to ageandjo for the exchange not working out)
Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Have you thought about visiting the auctions at Measham? They have a caravan & campervan sale once a month & I understand they sell for next to nothing at this time of the year. (Tried it once - didn't like it.) We bought ours off e bay for £300 - old but everything worked & we have friends who have bought at Measham & got fantastic bargains. Don't give up - I really think it's worth a look Tootles & it's such a great way to have a cheap break.
Sorry I haven't got time to read everyone's posts because as it happens I'm packing up the caravan ready for our weekend in Derbyshire.0 -
Calling all insomniacs (esp Snowy

Thought you might like to know that 'City hospital' (bbc 1) are going to talk a bit more about sleep problems in a moment. Not sure how good it'll be, but perhaps the odd tip for those who are struggling.
Back to my ironing
