i saw them in our local hospice charity shop they are in like a book with all the meanings with them, they are really beautifull and the best bit i only paid at £1 for them. i think the women in the shop just thought it was a book, the cards are hidden inside it!!

i also have tarot cards and do sometimes do readings on ebay, got me through last year at uni!!!

    whats i ching??

I Ching are the three chinese coins with a hole in the middle. You visualise a question - throw the coins - make up a digram of the answer then look it up in the book.

I'm just about to make some millionaire's shortbread and sadly stick some washing in the TD

Looking forward to watching queen Anthea tonight - and want to have a surf for some Christmas pressie inspiration.

Ah! So it's PMT time again? Mine stopped for so long I've got out of the habit of keeping track (OK, never was very good at keeping track, lol). It would explain why I'm feeling so hot and sticky at the mo.
After a really lovely PM from someone very special (yes, twas you, I've only had 2 today :D) I felt perkier and did a little tidy in my bedroom. Managed half an hour, but got breathless so thought best to rest. Not wheezing or anything like that, just feel breathless. I'm not even sneezing /coughing or having a runny nose really, just 'glowing' and puffing and panting, lol.
Didn't totally waste the day tho - did some studying :D
Tinkerbelluk - I'm doing the course at the Morgannwg campus. Long term I'm hoping to become a midwife but can't until the children are older - hopefully this course will give me some skills to help people in the meantime.
Sorry guys, can't remember much else at the moment - and I had loads to say :D
    Hugs to you all,
    Kaz x

    :bdaycake:Happy birthday Zed! :bdaycake:

taplady - so pleased that your DH is absolutely fine and dandy!

What a day that it's been! I've still got a pretty nasty cold, so not only did I have to deal with CHILDREN  (:D) at school, but I had to try to breathe and teach at the same time. Normally, that's not a problem but with a cold it's tricky ;). I was also told that I'm going to be the PE co-ordinator at school. Most people would be pleased, and I am to a certain extent, but I have no co-ordination and couldn't tell you the off-side rule. They say that I'll have loads of help, but I've heard that one before and never ever had any.

On a positive note, I've had a phone call from the estate agent to say that the survey on the house that we're buying has been booked! :j :j :j

I need to keep on working because a) we're buy a house and b) I've just had confirmation of DH's birthday present next year. His birthday isn't until June, but I'm taking him away to a hotel that gets booked up quickly in the Lake District. They've already taken the deposit from my account, so at least I won't have to pay too much when I get there! He didn't get much of a birthday present this year, so that will make up for it. Plus it's a hotel that I've always wanted to stay in. Perfect!!! :D

    I'll go for now.........

    Bye

    Hi everyone
Only have had time to skim through the thread but hugs to all who need them.
What I want to know is how did you get hold of Queenie's spag bol Stressedmumofone? Have you set up camp in her garden?!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm back here at work this evening doing my late evening. Have been home in the meantime and put on a dark load and had a snooze whilst OH made sardine burgers [I really do eat other meals aswell but it always seemed to be those darned things when I remember to post out tea:D ]
The good news is that OH has now booked the home visit from the Cats Protection League so that we can be vetted for a new moggie. Hopefully we'll pass and have another feline soon. I can't believe it's a whole year since we lost our last one but she did make it to 17. We had so many changes last year that I wanted the dust to settle for a few months but I'm really looking forward to it now:j :j
Best get on with some work [that's a euphemism for trawling some other threads!!]

  • Evening everyone:wave:
I've had a nice day shopping with my mum :) Managed to find an copy of the original Pauper's Cookbook by Jocasta Innes for £1.50 in a second-hand bookshop (and my mum managed to pull down an entire shelf of books which was quite funny :D  ).V pleased with the book, it has an excellent chapter called 'programmed eating' which has menus for a week based on one substantial piece of meat plus one smaller piece. She shows how to make several meals from these things plus puds.

My mum also bought me a new book called Pie which is a brilliant cookbook full of yummy sounding pie recipes (not surprisingly  ). I adapted the ham and cider pan pie to include chicken and it was delicious. It is basically just a casserole which you top with suetcrust, put the lid on and cook on the hob. This the bookhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1844034488/ref=pd_rvi_gw_2/202-4560088-2422211?ie=UTF8
