Happy Birthday PP hope you have a wonderful day!

Party went well last night, OH's Grandad was really touched to see all the family together. We left around 10:30 as DD1 was falling asleep on my lap.
No plans today apart from washing uniforms, making up packed lunch etc. DH is off to football (again) and will be out most of the day cos his team are on Sky later. So I think i'll have a DVD fest lazy day as Im not in the mood for housework.

    Bye for now

    Happy Birthday PP :kisses3: _party_

I have just got in. Cementing was cancelled today due to heavy rain. :D So cups of tea and chatting ruled the day. It's freezing here atm. Leftovers on toast for tea tonight. DH picked more mulberries this morning so doing a spot of jam making tomorrow.

Snowy How are you progressing with TWG? Mine still hasn't arrived yet but DD got the last of her books on Friday. Tis not fair. :p

Well off to have a surf. Have a happy Sunday everyone especially PP or anybody else enjoying birthdays. Byeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • I'm a long time lurker but wanted to uncloak to wish PennyPincher a wonderful birthday too! Enjoy your roast beef, it sounds yummy!

It's misty here but the sun is poking through, I'm dragging the family over to my mother's 75 miles away for Sunday lunch as she hasn't seen her dear grandson since he's been home from uni and he goes back on Saturday:eek: Not sure what the rest of the day will bring, probably be sitting in traffic jams for most of it.:rotfl:

    Have a great day, everyone!

Happy Birthday Penny-Pincher it sounds like you have a lovely day planned. Having good friends round for a meal is one of my favourite ways of relaxing, especially if they help to clear up. I hope you enjoy every minute.

Tootles - I saw your new avatar yesterday. What a beautiful garden, you & DH must work very hard to keep it so lovely.

Snowy Hopefully Sainsbury's will come back to you with an interview date in the next couple of days.

I hope those who were feeling poorly yesterday are a bit better today.

I had my first go at making chutney yesterday. It still isn't thick enough even after I cooked it for AGES. I had the lid on though so I think I'll cook it a bit more without the lid today & see if that does the trick. It tastes nice though.

Me & DH have a bike ride planned today, 27 (very hilly) miles. Trouble is, I think I have a cold or something coming as I'm a bit achy this morning so I hope I'll be OK. I think I'll start & see how I get on. I can always cut it short if I need to.

I hope everyone else has a brilliant Sunday.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY PENNY-PINCHER!!!!!

Hope you have a lovely day, sounds perfect so far.

    Morning everyone else!!

Was woken at about 6.10 by DS going to toilet and DD last night as she needed the toilet, tried to explain she doesn't need to ask me, she can just go! Bless her. Will have a siesta later to catch up.

Was a busy bee yesterday, did five loads of washing, cleaned downstairs, did some batch cooking for lunches next week, made curry for dinner and stock from chicken. Put BM on timer and am just munching on HM bread and butter for breakfast. Will go to prepare veg for roasted vegetable and chicken soup shortly.

Roast & rice pudding today, need to strip beds and wash them and then clean upstairs, also need to sort various letters and things from school this week, everything that needed signing went back but need to put dates etc on to calendars.

It's a beautiful day here but started quite autumnal with a mist everywhere but the sun has burnt through already. Might pop to mums as she has five fruit trees dropping fruit everywhere so will pick some plums and apples for the freezer too.

    Have a lovely Sunday all.

Hi, Dobie! You need to cook chutney with the lid off, as the volume needs to reduce quite dramatically (the water in the fruit needs to be removed). Sure it'll work now.

Enjoy the bike ride - I'm seriously impressed at 27 miles, hills or not!
