I think that one month might be too short a time as you'd have to start planning for the next list during the suspension time.

Thats a good point, and that during the first week or so until everyone gets the message there will probably be a few lists made and posts bumped which are ending by people who think they are helping. I'd agree to a trial ending of it that lasted till christmas but thats just me

Is Septembers list not already been done? if so why can't those names be transferred to October if the lists were to stay?

What i think proves that the comping board is being used for lurkers etc is that probably all the people that pop in & out of the comps ending threads have not even seen this discussion because theyre not using this board properly!!!

I just think its ironic that the majority of people that have responded in here are 'regulars' and its mostly people saying get rid of em.

Now if you had this discussion in a comps ending thread, it would be completely different, which is why a poll wouldnt work, unless you did it in here :rotfl:

Harsh as it maybe.. want simplicity, go to Loquax or Prizefinder for comps ending.

I could be wrong but I didn't read that as iwannabeonthebeach saying that everything would need to be changed. I think she was saying that if people miss out the E or the space it messes up the whole comp ending system.

Ok, its just taken me ages to read all this from last night!
Kips - a poll would be good but only a unanonymous one for the benefit of seeing who is for/against. I think the majority of people voting 'for' would be people we've never even heard of! But, the 'for' would win though so it wouldn't solve anything. It would be good to stop it for a month and then if the people who rely on them can either learn to enter as they are posted or just give up if they can't figure it out! Its not difficult to keep up to date, you just have to dedicate a couple of hours in the evening when the kids are in bed.

PrincessMS - I agree about the kids comps. :rolleyes: My eldest used to love the CITV comps and won a few prizes but now she hardly ever wins anything. We do all the kids tv channel comps (nick etc) but no wins here. Its a shame you don't have to prove - somehow - that they really are your children that you are entering!
