I hand wash mine, I did put one in the washer on a gentle wash and it wrecked it. They cost £20 a throw, so cannot afford to do that very often.

I find mine get stained with sweat just under the arms and on the bottom of the cups. I put them in warm water and bio wash powder to soak and then use a nail brush and green fairy soap, it does drive me mad though I hate hand washing the damn things.......

  • Mine go in the wash with everything else at 30 or 40C, but then they came from Primark.
  • I'm a bravissimo girl, so they're not cheap. They go on a delicates / wool wash in a pillowcase with other wool items.

I agree about handwashing, it just doesn't do the job for me.

    Hi there,

Most of my bras go in the washing machine on a normal 40 degree wash, but I bought a really expensive one recently (i'm pregnant and have huge sore boobs and it was the only one that felt comfy - excuses, excuses :rotfl:) and was advised to handwash it by taking it in the shower with me, so that's what i do! I use some shampoo on it and rinse it well, and not had any problems washing it this way.

I put one cup into the other and put them into old socks and bung them in the machine, that way, they don't get pulled and all stretched out of shape :)

I'm with Janb5 - I've just bought 2 from Rigby & Peller - expensive, but fabulous! They get handwashed.

The old grey ones - in the machine at 40

    Mine are hand-washed.

How grubby do your bras get that it's a problem to hand wash them? I swish them round in warm soapy water in the wash basin each night, leave them soaking while I have my shower, then rinse and dry overnight. My bras cost £25-£30 of necessity and they stay in much better condition looked after this way.

You should also avoid using fabric conditioner as it can degrade the bra fabric and air-dry away from direct heat if you want to maintain your expensive bras in tit-top condition! :D:D

    *snigger* nice one! ;)

Mine go in small zipped laundry bags at 40 degrees, one bra in each and I only ever do a max of two bras per wash ... cos I've only got two laundry bags.

    Hello all

I have checked the 'Complete Laundry' List in the index and can not find the answer to my question.
Apologies in advance if I have missed it

I did it but I did to a good search:A

Any how How does everyone wash their Bra's?
I have always thrown mine in the washing machine but have found they get mis-shapen quite often. I buy m&s usually and they are not cheap so really trying to find a way of keeping them at their best.

    Problems im finding:
    *Moulded cups get mis-shapen
*Fabric over cups pull at the top of the cup and bend over IYKWIM
*Underwire some times comes out or pokes out
*Generally they come out looking a state

I have looked at these bra ball type things but heard mixed reviews about them.

I am hoping the only solution isnt to hand wash but have a feeling thats what im going to end up doing !!

All thoughts / ideas gratefully received :T
