I always hand wash my bras as I'm a FF and pay about £25 each for bras from Bravissimo (amazing place!). have tried handwashing them in a delicates bag in the past but they don't last as long so I stick to handwashing. I just leave them in the sink/bowl with ecover delicates/handwash liquid for a while, give them a swish and arinse them plenty, hang up over night. really doesn't take long!

I usually wash mine in the machine inside a sock. Ocassionally I hand wash them and as others have said it doesn't take long, I'm just lazy.

Having done both over the years, handwashing will definited prolong the life of bras. They stay "like new" for much longer if handwashed.

I just soak mine overnight in a mild solution, rinse and then hang them up in the shower to drip dry. The amount of "work" involved is no more than loading them in to and out of the WM.

Wash & tumble mine, my biggest problem is they don't do the backs big enough. Why do they think that if you have a broad back you are going to have a large cup size. As the advert says, how does Bravissimo make you feel - somethings missing! lol

I wash mine on a cool wash together with other non-coloured items but I ALWAYS use a net bag for any bra with wires. A wire came out many years ago and it cost £60 to get the machine repaired. My bras stay like new for a long time

    Donny-gal,
I know what you mean - I always have trouble getting bras to fit.

Fabric softener decays the elastic, but I put them in a pillowcase and that stops anything from getting lost in the washing machine.

Mine go in the bath once a week after OH and I have had a bath. Just add a tiny bit of soap powder as there's loads of soap left in the water. Otherwise they come in the shower with me :)

This happened to me a few weeks ago on my new TD. They don't cover this on the warranty so it cost me £61

I usually just bung mine in the WM. Is this why they are quite grey?

    In my experience, yes.

    Handwashing keeps them "as new".
