Anyone Into Cross Stitching?

What is your favourite cross stitch of all time? Is it something you've stitched yourself, or is it a kit or chart you've been eyeing up for some time?

I think mine at the moment is my Titanic picture.

I took me about 3 years to finish it, but I am so proud of it. I love Titanic and I'm very interested in everything to do with it, so when I saw this kit, I had to have it. I had it professionally framed and it hangs in my living room above the sofa where I stitch.

My favourite of all time is 'mermaid heaven' which hangs in my bedroom

I started stitching it in memory of my daughter, the baby in it makes me think of her.

I'm not starting anything new just yet

but for my next anniversary I wanted to stitch something for my husband. It'll be 8 years, which is linen or lace. So I thought I'd stitch something on linen for him. I have a couple of charts in mind, but can be talked into buying something new if you know of something even better! :rotfl:
Which do you think...

Or something else totally??? It doesn't have to be very romantic as we have 2 wedding samplers, a wedding wall hanging, an engagement sampler (once it's finished!) and a 2nd anniversary picture already.

I like the nuthouse one - seems a bit more 'blokey' as well.

Is there anything he is into that you would be able to stitch? Cars/trains/planes etc?

He's into bikes, but I'm working on a motorbike already. It was a pressie from mum to the both of us, so can't really give it as an anniversary pressie. Plus, it HAS to be on linen. He likes frogs and bats too. I'm sure there are plenty of charts around with those on.

Hi all, havnt been on this thread before, I used to do cross stitching before I had children, not done any for 9 years +, would love to get back into it. I have my brother in laws wedding coming up in July next year and would to them a wedding sampler of the ME TO YOU bears which they love. Could any of you lovely people suggest any good places to get it from wouldnt have a clue where to start now, all the shops I used to use have disappeared. many thanks.
