    Morning all.

I was naughty and started looking at the WYE site too. I love the Lanarte flowers and have now got even more on my wish list. I'm off to the Stitch show at Shepton Mallet next Saturday so I guess I will come back with more.
I went last year and got the Lanarte tulips and ornaments but haven't got round to it yet.

I've been slacking lately, my Zebra is on hold (see a few pages back) as I'm stitching some Heritage Stitchcraft animals for my friends son. And now I'm expecting my first baby I will be stitching for him or her too. Guess my beautiful CelticRoseNeedlecraft stuff will have to wait a while.

I also stitch in rows as I think it looks much neater for some reason, and I try to avoid half stitches on aida but don't mind them too much on evenweave. Seems like I'm in the majority.

Well, I have no idea what the difference is between aida and evenweave so I don't know which I prefer to stitch on :D
I just use whatever material comes with the kit.

When stitching I always do the whole X at a time, never do halves then go back over them to complete the whole. I have always done it that way and never thought to change :p

I seem to have got the hang of french knots now since finding a video demo online. I have actively been looking for designs that feature them but daren't buy any more yet as I have loads to do already.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

    Hi everyone,

    1. Prefer aida every time

    2. Usually stitch in rows nowadays but used to do them whole

    3. French knots - I like doing these once I get into the swing of it, but if there is a big gap of time between designs using them, I completely forget how to do it and get into a tangle. I did some recently and accidentally made a big hole in the fabric (linen) when I pulled the knot right through.

Lynda - I bet that firescreen will be lovely when it's finished.

One way you can do it is when you get on the reply box press the icon with the blue globe and it will give you a box to put your link to your photo albums site e.g. flicker.

It would be good to see your photos. I love AOY.

    Maria

I don't have any kits but I listed a Cross Stitcher magazine on ebay earlier this week which has a Tatty Teddy advent calender chart in it. It's very sweet and if I had had the time I would have done it... in fact, if it doesn't sell I might just do it for baby.

Anyway, if you are interested it is issue 179 and mine isn't the only one there just so you know I'm not touting for business :o

Hope this helps and sorry I don't have anything more suitable

Bookadict - it's really lovely, what a brilliant picture. Is it very big?

I found when I did a little girl, I kept mixing up the pattern, luckily no-one noticed. So I admire you doing such a big picture as even though I have more charts, I'm not sure if I'll start them.
    Well done.

Do you have the special illustrated mounts?

I once went to meet the painter of those pictures, but unfortunately turned up on the wrong day!!

I hope you will let us see the rest of your stitching too.
