I went through the very nerve wracking (LOL) experience of sorting my stash last new nights. Trying to finally put it all in one place rather than all over the house. What I really like now is that I've got a box especially for all my Christmas crafts. I couldn't believe how many freebie stitching kits I found for Xmas (no patterns of course) so will be re-using them in all sorts of ways.

When was the last time you had a tidy up of your stash?

That's my plan for this weekend.

I have a load of stuff boxed up in the loft as I was supposed to be moving last July, but my sale fell through three days before! I need to bring it all down and decide what I am realistically ever going to do. I have cross stitch kits, tablecloths to embroider, half finished tapestries, card making stuff, the lot. All my knitting stash is in my wardrobe as I like to stroke it every few days!

If I can condense all the boxes in the loft into some sort of order, I should have enough room to set my knitting machines back up, so I can knock up a few scarves and hats ready for my money neutral Christmas.

The best laid plans of mice and men. We shall see x

Hi bikerchick - so you like to stroke your wool? I can so relate to that :D although for a long time now all mine has been in a laundry bag so haven't been able to - until I got to the shops and touch all the balls there.

And you are another one with table clothes to embroider. I have a small square one I bought years ago with some large tray cloths. .

Maria, I don't think I've ever met anyone with that small amount LOL

I would have thought you had more. Is it because you always use kits?

I don't have much in the way of spare stash either. I have a piece of Aida, couple of needles and some odds'n'ends of thread...these are left over from kits I have done. Oh and I have a frame too that I have never used :D

I do however have probably 12 kits not started yet and 3 or 4 started ones.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

You'll soon have more stuff than you know what to do with!

I've been cross stitching for nearly 20 years, and am a charity shop addict, so always picking up more.

At least when I retire (only 23 years to go) I'll have plenty to keep me occupied!
