No talking of buying less, switching providers, cutting a holiday or two - no go for the jugular and take the children out of school and dump the country club. All the small steps add up and most of them won't be noticed! I think moderators should check out the IP address.
Yes I noticed that!! Talk about taking the children out of private school which would be a major upheaval for them if true, yet no mention of dumping his flashy car and other bits which would be my first priority to cutting back!!! Seems a bit odd!:rolleyes:

Get a copy of and read 'The Millionaire Next Door'. It will show you what has happened to you and how to get out of it.
If you want to give your kids a real lesson in life get them round the dinner table and lay it on the line. If you want to deal with the mess then things are going to have to change.
1. You have to get back to living within your means.
2. You then have to cut back to free up money to pay debts.
It is not possible to do this and still present the same front to either the world or your family.
To think otherwise is to put your head in the sand. There are so many people on this thread who have dealt with very serious debt and can help you. You are being given good advice, whether you follow it or not is down to you.
