The proof of the pudding they say......
Try and spot the incorrect word usage, grammatical and spelling mistakes in the passage below.
" I am writing to update you of further changes that have been made in the Finance Department.
Improvements have been made to our administration and payment sistems.
This means that expenses can now be pade on a weekly basis insted of just once a month. Although not everyone incurrs expenses, I hope people will agree that it was worthwhile investing in this improvement.
The changes do not mean that everyone has to submit their expenses form once a week.
The improvements mean that money will be transferred into people bank accounts on the Friday of the week after the expenses form has been submitted. To insure that the money is paid promptly on the Friday, people submitting expenses forms must submit there expenses form by Wednesday.
over the next two months all office computers will be upgraded with the necessary software to submit expenses forms. No training will be required as the procedures for inputting expenses will remain the same.

I have just sat the tests today and passed.
The numeracy was a lot harder than i expected, and a tip is to make sure you brush up on percentages before you go.
If anyone has any experience of the interviews, I would love some tips as to the type of questions asked.
Im currently out of work and have been for quite a while now, so really needing this job.Wins this year.Jan 08: £100 clothes Voucher:beer:0 -
I had the tests for the CSA today but failed...I'm a bit annoyed but I guess I should have revised more Maths! It's annoying as I don't know how many I got wrong as they didn't give us a breakdown or the results. I'll keep trying though!!0

I applied for the EO position on 22nd January and I got a letter in the post on Monday this week inviting me for the literacy and numeracy tests in Newham East London which isn't that near where I live. I wonder if this is the borough the job would be in? I guess a job is a job and I am happy to sit on the tube! My tests are on 6th March which is ages away!!
It says the exercises will last 90 minutes which seems a lot longer than people have implied. The letter says that they require you to wait around and you will be given the results on the day then an interview will be arranged if successful but it does not say when.
The numeracy test example they have given looks easy and is not percentage or ratios based. But then it says the real thing will be longer and more difficult. Eek!0 -
Best of luck to all undertaking tests/interviews!
I've sat both and still waiting from DWP!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!0 -

If so, how long did you have to wait for a reply to your initial application?0 -

I sat tests there as well but the interview is at the East London District office by Algate. You could be any where within the East London District which I believe includes Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham.0
