Sportfan, the AO test will be fine as long as your score is high enough. I sat mine nearly 2 years ago, so glad I kept the letter, really didn't fancy having to do it again.0

But what if you got 9/15 in Literacy Tests in AO Tests and been invited to EO tests and pass mark is 11?? Then???0 -
Ah right, then you will have to sit it again.0

Thanks for your reply!
I have AO tests next Saturday which I have to go and show proof that I have taken them and passed both of them for AO
BUT
in May I have EO tests - Which I need to take Literacy again because I only got 9 and 11 is required (the pass mark)
What do I do? Should I take the tests again for AO next Sat and hope to get 11+? OR wait till May for EO tests and take them then??
Also what happens when you have passed your CRB check and applying for other jobs??? Do they require a check again for each position or use the same 1? I guess this will speed up things in the recruitment process??
Please someone advise me!0 -
I got in today to find a certificate from DWP with the results of my tests saying that I can use it for jobs up to EO level. I knew I had passed as I have had an interview. There were also forms to send to my doctor and a criminal records check. No problem as I am not ill and have no criminal record. Already have enhanced disclosures.
So should I be hopeful that I am in the running? My interview was two weeks ago and this is the first I have heard.
Job would be ideal for me. I really want it!!!0 -
Hi Everyone! any help you would be able to provide would be greatley appreciated!
I attended the selection tests and interviews on two seperate dates in Ashford and on 13/03 rec'd a letter from them advising i have been successful, and that once the pre recruitment checks were completed they would then contact me to advise whether they would offer me a post! I have already contacted the recruitment department and they advised that they would then write to me after 20 working days and advise accordingly. Since then I have only recd by CRB basic disclosure certificate and a friend has recentlyof mine has recently recruited at a local office and 10-11 weeks elapsed between her offer letter and her start date. I have tried on numerous occaisions to contact the newcastle office again and the line either rings out or is engaged! Does anybody have any similar experiences of this or can anyone provide any information ?

Does anyone know what the previous employment checks involve? Is it employment references or inland revenue checks. Hope its not references as dont think my last employer will give me a glowing ref as a walked out.0

Does anyone know the nature of the entrance test for DWP METER READER, or is it the same as what you guys have been discussing for the past few pages of this thread?
If different, what is it all about, any details?0 -
I sat the Literacy & Numeracy tests last week and passed I found them a struggle mainly due to the fact I had'nt done anything like it for years ,now got to go for an interview tomorrow (weds)and I am a bit concerned about what I'm going to be asked.Anybody help0

I passed the numeracy and literacy tests today for the EO position, but for some reason they havent given me a breakdown on my results? I would have been interested to know what scores I got. Is this standard practice, or have they missed something out?
I have an interview start of June at a jobcentre plus office. Really am in two minds though, as I have just finished vetting to become a PCSO. Although this EO position is a lot more money, but there seems to be a waiting list of up to 12 months!0
