Hi all,
New to here, but I have recently sat both tests for AA and AO for the DWP. I am an EO in another government dept but they don't transfer anymore you have to apply with everyone else. I have to admit the test very quite difficult due to the time you have to complete it, had the results of the AA and Lit was 10/15 and Num 14/20 (always thought I was better at eng than maths).
I have an interview next week so fingers crossed.0 -
Thanks...I won't turn up in interview clothes then, I'll just wear smart/casual.0

Sorry I've got another questions...my test is next wednesday, if I pass how long is it until I would have an interview. I know they aren't conductiong interviews on the day of the tests but I'm worried as I'm on holiday the following week so I'm hoping, if I pass, that it'll be at least 10 days until the interview!0

Hi rcool80 - I'm applying for a job in DWP and on the website it says the written test days are 23 & 24 Feb, and the interview days are 25 - 27 Feb. There seems to be quite a big recruitment drive at the minute, so the interviews may be quite soon, if not immediately, after the tests.0

Woohoo!
passed the test and have an interview next week0 -

Hi. I've just applied for the EO position(external), in regards to the competency questions, can anyone tell me if you can take your examples into the interview? I know during an internal exercise you would be able to take your notes.
Any advice wolud be really appreciated. ??0 -
Yep you can take notes in, you can even use the same competencies you put on your paper application as the interviewers will not be the ones that sifted the initial application.Hanny:easter_ba0

Thanks Hanny, that gives me a bit more confidence. Just hope I get through the sift now.
Cheers0 -
No problemo, just be positive and enthusiastic about your previous jobs and your willingness to conform to change (they like that.. if you suck up a little. But not too much)Hanny:easter_ba0
