Kaupthing Edge have a 'clean' 6.5% Savings Account that Martin recommends so I am tempted but does anyone have any experience of dealing with this company? Any hiccups in application process, customer services, etc. All feedback welcome.

I've just opened an account with them and found the whole process very efficient.

I needed to speak to them and the phone call was answered immediately by a very professional member of staff. Very good customer service ... :T

I've been thinking of opening an account with them for a few months now, and all this positive feedback has only made me determined that as soon as I have filled my ISA, I'm going to get together the £1000 I need to open one ASAP!

    Thanks everyone!

I have to add an update.

I got locked out of my account the other day and emailed them to ask for it to be unlocked or a new password sent out etc. Within 5 minutes I'd had a phone call from Kaupthing to sort the problem out. Very impressive :)

I had a similar problem. I phoned them up and the girl was very, very helpful. I loved they way the asked me for my full name and I said "Michael Ly" then she replied "Is it okay to call you Michael today?" - I never got this with any other customer service team.

Plus their waiting music is amazing - and I usually get through within 1-2 minutes.

Still, like someone else said, these are early days.. lets see how things go.... I heard ICESAVE's helpline is pretty awful.... I wonder if they were this efficient once....

Haven't been held long enough to hear waiting music - I also only have good things to say about them.
You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...

Is it possible to set up a reg standing order to a regular saver account - eg. Yorkshire bank? - I want to set up a dripfeed!

    Cheers.
