Morning all!
Well, I can't say the weekend was a disaster - I was away working at a festival. Drank too much beer and ate too much rubbish, but stuck to 3 meals a day and didn't over do it.... much. Am back now!
Today:
B: 1 slice of toast and marg
S: CHOCOLATE BROWNIE (it was heavenly - someone at work made it - about 200 cals I reckon)
L: leftover tomato pasta / meatballs
S: 5 strawberriesprawn stirfry
Desert: fruit if needed
Am aiming to STS this week, but fingers crossed I loose 1 more pound. Am back on the wagon fully tomorrow (need energy today, feel rubbish!) x0 -
Welcome Newbys :hello:
Felt sad at work today as I've only got one week left after tomorrow and it really feels funny. One of my friends is off next week so today was the last day we'll be together. This sort of upset would usually send me to the pantry but I'm trying REALLY hard not to let it get to me. Got to be strong
Looking forward to WD, only Thursday to get through and it could say 16 something. God I really hope so

Can I come on and have a whinge please?
I am really really fed up today because I did a silly thing this morning and got on the scales when it isn't my weigh day. I just wanted to see exactly how much damage the weekend and last night's curry had done.
It was very bad. I have put on everything I had lost since I've been on here and more. How can that have happened in just a few days??
Not a happy bunny.:(:(:(0 -
OGITH - Last night's curry is still in your system!!!! Don't fret about it, climb back on the wagon and weigh in on your PROPER WI day! I hop on on off the scales far more than I should but the only reading that counts is the one at my class on a Thursday night;)
Frogga - I left my last job after working there for 17 years so know how you're feelingI still email the girls regularly, we meet up for a meal and a drink 3 times a year and I always get invites to the [STRIKE]escape parties[/STRIKE] leaving do's or anyone I know (and some I don't):D
You're doing this for YOU, not your mates, moving on is hard but it will be worth it! Leaving my last job to move to this one was (almost) the best thing I've ever done!
I've had egg, SW chips and beans for tea, yoghurt in a bit and maybe a HiFi bar.
I stopped at Asda to get the milk and other bits I couldn't get at MrT's last night and bought the pair of linen pants I tried on last week - size 14:j
Trinny and Susanah said to buy wide leg pants and they were right, I look pretty good for a granny :rotfl: *self confidence boost* no-one else will tell me so I need to tell myself
I got my knitting out last night:eek: , a jumper I started last year  all this 'craftiness' on here has got me going again!
See you tomorrow folks:A

Ok, you asked.....when you eat a bit too much, the excess is firstly stored as glycogen around your liver. Each 1lb of glycogen needs 3lbs of water to enable it to be stored, so if your body holds 1lb of glycogen, total weight gain wll be 4lb. As soon as your body uses up the glycogen (which it does before it uses any stored body fat), the water goes too. It just looks like you've put on loads of weight, but a lot of it will be water.
hope this helps.0 -

That's interesting, so when we crash diet, fast, have a upset stomach, etc. and our weight suddenly drops by a few pounds or more, are we using a lot of stored glycogen and losing a lot of water?Anytime;)0 -

   i need to rant!! a certain number of people don't seem to understand that my dad has just had a heart attack and doesn't need ten or so people turning up all day every day at the hospital and hanging round his bed! he needs to REST! why can't people seem to get it?!
i even pointed it out to them and said please don't drive him mad, he's just had a heart attack. and they all laughed at me    so bl**dy annoyed and my mum is so silly, she doesn't want to upset anyone so doesn't say anything.
not me, couldn't give a monkeys who i upset so long as my dad is the better for it. she did go so far as asking them not to phone his bedside phone as they keep waking him up and to phone her for updates, do they listen?! noooooooooo. i understand they are concerned but not letting him have any rest is doing him more harm!
i fully intend to go to the hospital tomorrow and if need be police the bl**dy doors. the people in question are my uncles so no doubt will not relish getting a boll**king from me but i'm totally furious - especially as i have spoken to them about it tonight.
anyway food-wise not too bad, apart from the delish fish and chips my mum treated me too.Disneyworld Florida in August 2011 :jLost so far: 0 lbs of 4stMother of beautiful son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy0 -
