    morning
just weighed and have STS. not surprised as its TOTM and i'm retaining water

had a bit of a scare with my dad last night, got a call at work to say he'd been rushed to hospital in an ambulance with chest pains. my dad has a history of heart problems anyway - had angioplasty and a bypass but no actual heart attack so far (touch wood) - so of course you can guess what we all thought. rushed home and arranged collecting DS from nursery, picking OH up from train station and dashed to hospital. it wasn't a HA, but they don't know what it was, when i left last night he was still having chest pains on and off. they dosed him up with blood thinner in case it was the heart but he also has a hiatus hernia and diabetes so it could also have been something to do with one of those  they were going to do a blood test at4am (he'd had the worst pains at 4pm) to decide whether it was his heart. they won't let him out til the pain goes but hopefully they will estabish what it was before then so if it happens again we know what to do to help him.

anyway enough waffle, so yesterday evening was poor foodwise, came home from hospital and didn't want to cook so indian takeaway it was....:o

    food for today:
    b- shreddies
    l- fruit and yoghurts
d- jerk steak and sw wedges

have to go out and get the shopping this morning, am reluctant as i want to be around when mum phones with news on how the old man is but hopefully she will think to ring my mobile!!

    have a good day

    Morning all,

Not sure why but yesterday I was absolutely starving all day, maybe I ate my lunch too early  . For dinner, I ended up having 2 bowls of scouse that my lovely OH had made for me before going to work but by 7pm I decided that I should probably get out of the house as I was in a bingey mood (even though there was nothing binge-worthy in the house) so I went to my friends place to play Guitar Hero which was absolutely hilarious. All thoughts of food forgotten.
Hopefully today will be a bit better, will have porridge even if it does make me sweaty because at least my stomach will be full until lunch :rotfl:
Well done all the losers and hugs for those who need it :T

B: Porridge made with skimmed milk and water
    L: Greek salad
D: Probably leftover scouse as OH is working tonight, might see if I can get some Wii boxing in, best make sure I shut the curtains first :o

Toni - hope things are looking better for your dad this morning, you poor thing. What a worry. ((hugs))

recovering - can imagine how frustrated you are with the dd/bf situation. What a waste for her. Still, sometimes they come to their senses, who knows?

saversarn - Way impressed at you passing your test. :T :T Love it when someone has the determination to achieve a dream as you have. ;)

Hiya to Wellington and Lemonade :hello:

And finally well done on your loss Nickynoo. Brilliant! :T :D

Must get on now as DS2 and myself are away out this morning before nine.

    Food today:
Toast, cheese spread, rocket, tomato and salad cream.
Duck egg with HM seedy bread fingers (made it finally! :D )
Cauli cheese with new pots and carrots

Snacks - apples and grapefruit (and not 3 slices of bread and an ice cream like yesterday. :o )

Be good everyone and catch up with you later.

Oi MrsMc - how the heck have you got chilis already? My stupid little plants are still only 5" tall and bearing no fruit. :(

Ooh Peeps:( I'm not doing very well at all....& talking to various folks, a common factor seems to be a yearning for CORNFLAKES of all things! I ate almost a whole 750g box in three days last week:eek:

Mind you, that "local Choice" skimmed milk in MrT is really very tasty so I spose it could've been worse:o

Had 8 strawberries off our plant so far but nowt else is ready to harvest so still reliant on shop-bought carp. Plus I'm pest orf with being the only chef in the household--last night was hot chooks from MrM & I suggested couscous; "eugh NO!" was the response. Pasta then sez I...."wot for!" sez they.....BLUDDIN families:mad: Surely SOMEONE other than me can make a decision sometimes....

D'ya fink the sun has addled me brain:rolleyes:

  • Thanks for the warm welcome all :j

Spendaholic - hopefully your dd will see sense that continuing education is the right choice, especially with her obvious academic talent. this reminds me of someone - she told her parents she wanted to leave college and get a job so that her and her boyf could get a place together, but she was just testing the waters and a better job prospect at the end of college won her over in the end ;)
Saversarn - congrats on passing your test! Well done :T

Toni - hugs to you, hope your dad is ok

Congrats to all the losers

    Food today:

    b- branflakes and raisins
    l- no idea
d-chicken (cooked in my big cook off yest) potato wedges and salad
snacks - grapefruit, sharon fruit and apple
