Hi guys
This is my official plea for help!! Seriously I need a big kick up the bum! I am struggling massively on my weight loss and am at my witts end. My story is too long and boring and over the past 6 or 7 months I have thrown money at slimming clubs (ww and sw) and have managed to lose ££££'s rather than lbs. I'm off now to read through the posts to be inspired!!!
Thanks for reading!!!:xmassmile:rudolf:0 -
Welcome Lemonade & Wellington.
We all sympathise, this is a great place for support. I always wanted to join a slimming club too but it is too expensive. You'll find loads of advice here. Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -
I DID IT... I'M NOW A QUALIFIED OPEN WATER DIVER:j:j- sorry got a tad excited:o Long time ambition (i'm talking decades here) and I never thought I'd do it as I'm nearer 50 than 40:eek::eek: But I came on here lost 17lbs so far to make the wet suit experience not to shocking for the fish/wrecks/fellow divers. Am hoping to dive in the Red Sea later this year and would love to lose another stone by then:D
Enough about me- its all me me me isn't it:p
Welcome to lemonade money, Wellynelly et al!! And well done and good luck to all my lovely supportive cyber friends.
Frog eagerly awaiting the 16 on Friday;)

Hello and hi to Wellington and Lemonade! I have been busy with flylady again today and it really helps to destress me I think (how sad am I?). Had a lot of bother with DD1 again today - she now says she is going to leave school and get a full time job in Boots (where she has her Saturday job) - it is such a shame as she is extremely clever - got 12 GCSE's all A* and a couple of A's with no studying at all hardly, and the school say she will get virtually 100% in her maths AS and should get A's or B's in her biology, history and chemistry. She has a scholarship offer to do medicine at Liverpool too...... It is all because of the bf - he is a total waste of space and what money she has at the moment she spends on him - I can see her going to live with him and as he doesn't work she will end up keeping him - I can't think about it too much as it is making me really upset but I just don't know what I can do except let her find out for herself. Her father is no use either because he just wants to go round and beat up the boyfriend, he is totally on the edge - saying he doesn't care if he loses his job and goes to prison - he is just ranting and raving and smashing stuff up......
Food was great until tea time when I fancied boiled eggs - I didn't cook them for long enough and they were too runny and yucky so I had toast and then more toast!
Anyway - My cousin is coming to visit me tomorrow and I am looking forward to it. He is much older than me and other than my sisters (who are both disabled with learning difficulties and Down's syndrome) he is the only family I have. He is a priest and I am hoping he may be able to give me some advice about DD1.
Hope you all have a good evening. Thanks for the SW quiche recipe Rockie!
Oh - just editing to say well done to Saversarn!Jane

chloebelle there's two variations on pesto potatoes - one is when roasting add some pesto in to the oil and make sure they're all coated, other is to use up a tin of new potatoes, stick them in a griddle pan or little olive oil in frying pan and towards the end stir in spoonful or so of pesto - just perks them up a bit. make a yummy salad next day with ham and some leaves!
i won a whole box of sacla pesto recipe and tips cards so if you want to know any other bits then feel free to PM me!!Disneyworld Florida in August 2011 :jLost so far: 0 lbs of 4stMother of beautiful son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy0 -
Reporting in with this morning's weigh in result... 1lb ON
!! I'm not surprised really, been a bit lax with the portion control just lately... particularly the amount of cream I've been dribbling over strawberries:p ... and being vertically challenged (5 foot) and not a million miles off my target weight, ANY overdose of calories is going to show up with a vengence!! Oh well, back to weighing things out.
Congrats saversarn on passing your diving thingy. Think you've got every right to be chuffed to little bits with yourself, well done you!!:T
Hello and welcome wellington and lemonade:hello:, you'll be fine here!
Well done nicky!!0 -
Sarny! You've passed your driving test??????? Shouldn't you have passed that years ago????
*reads a bit more carefully*
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you're a fully qualified diver now? Congratulations honey, really chuffed for you. I was gonna make an off colour remark about my diving skills but really didn't think it would have been appropriate
Anyway, I'm plodding along with the whole healthy doodah thing. I seriously need to knock my social life on the head as this is the third weekend running that I have been playing out and come home bladdered clutching a polystyrene carton of cheesy chips. no wonder my weight loss is stalling. Still plugging away at the X trainer, only managed 5k today though as I have a groin......thing.....going on from my swimming lesson yesterday. Did some weights and am gonna do my crunches and push ups when I go up to bed in a minute.
Can I just say I haz no boobs. I am not happy about this. I still have big fat wobbly tummy and big ole butt and oh lookee there, why my thighs are still as thunderous as ever. However the boobs are deflating like yesterday's birthday balloons and I am not happy about it. I would invest in some chicken fillets but my lovely mates would only shame me by pulling them out in the pub and flopping them in someone's pint so figure I best not
Big hugs to all, keep up all the good work, might see you for weigh in on Friday if I can drag myself on the scales, getting less and less motivated by the weight loss but still managing to keep exercising, might move to a monthly weigh in and see how that feels
