Wot's stuffed BNS? Am I being dim?

Lol! Stuffed BNS is stuffed Butternut squash!

Well done to all losers and glad you are getting back on track Purpleivy.

I had a terrible weekend eating wise but I'm not going to go into it all because I have put it behind me an am starting afresh today with lots of positive outlook! I feel really bloated today so have just had a couple of oatcakes with cottage cheese and a small glass of orange and grapefruit juice.

Rockie (or anyone else who knows)- can you remind me how to make SW quiche? I remember I used to love it and always used to lose weight the weeks I made it so I have two tubs of cottage cheese in the fridge, and eggs too so thought I would give it a go but I can't remember the proportions of eggs and cottage cheese.

Breakfast was the oatcakes and cottage cheese (Longley Farm mmmmmm)
Lunch - salad and rest of the opened tub of cottage cheese and a pickled egg, followed by an Activia yoghurt
Dinner - not sure - can't decide between fish in butter sauce and veg or mince and veg. Won't be having potatoes though.

Hope you are all having a nice day. Mrs M - cross stitch and knitting look great. I am going to get the Jean Greenhowe Christmas booklet and start as soon as my sister's carer gets back off her holidays and shows me know to increase and decrease!

    Morning everyone,
well i`m starting off with a clean slate after the weekend of lager consumption:o we did have a very good time though so i can`t really complain.
It`s good to see you all doing well, Well done to all the losers!

Today brekkie was pate on toast and i`ve just had a snack of a bag of hula hoops.
Dinner is soup, i found some in the freezer so i`ve brough it to w**k to defrost and eat, not sure what type it is yet tho :D
Tea will be brisket poptatoes & veg YUM!

Recovering - i do the salad in a container in the fridge thing, i use white cabbage, onions, 3 peppers and carrots and find it keeps really well. I love salad too but hate all the chopping so i shove it all in the food processor and shred it:D My spinach is just about ready in the garden so the next batch will have some of that in too.
Catch up with you all soon

I don't think I would describe myself as 'back on track'.

Just sitting here at college thinking about the ride home... uphill! Not very uphill, justseemslike it to me!

Oooooh, I'm causing chaos :rotfl: :o :rotfl:

Newlywed - I'll post the recipes tonight as they're on my home 'puter ;)

RS - SW quiche is dead simple, cook off whatever veg you fancy - leek and mushroom is good or spinach and mushroom.....anything really and put it in a flan dish. Then I use a medium cottage cheese - 200g???? and 3 medium eggs, blitz it with a stick blender and pour over the veg and stick in the oven about 200C for 30-40 mins or until its set and starting to brown. Delicious hot or cold.
I've just had the last bit of Saturday's with salad for my lunch.

BNS - I couldn't be bothered typing butternut squash out in full :D

    Hi All,

Well I've had a very busy morning one way and another. I was up at 6.30 to write my article for this week. Then I had 12 parcels to post for me and 8 for OH this morning from our ebay and Amazon sales. I took them in two lots, one to my local PO and one set to the PO in the village I had to visit to go to the Building Society. I cycled to the BS and PO which was a 7 mile round trip and walked to the local one so have had some exercise already today.

We are taking OH's family (2 DDs, 1 DS, 1DGD and 1 DGS) out for a meal again this evening so I don't have to cook. It will be a carvery again but as usual I'll just have the meat and vegetables.

I have knitted various Jean Greenhowe Christmas tree ornaments in the past RS and Mrs M. I made a Santa, snowman, choirboy and angel when money was tight one year. We had them for years but I gave them away to a charity shop a few years ago when I split up with my ex and I had a good clear out. I am really keen for the wool from my Mum to arrive so I can get started on the scarecrow now.

B: Fruit and fibre mixed with muesli, raisins and skimmed milk. Cranberry and raspberry juice.
L: 3 slices of toast with butter and HM lemon curd. Banana.
D: Turkey, peas, carrots, sweetcorn, cauliflower cheese.

    Have a good afternoon all,

    Rose

    Hi guys,

I'm taking a 2 week break from weighing myself as its becoming an obsession. So will have no weight loss/gain to report for the next 2 wks as I need to go cold turkey for a bit.

Have done my walk today and am going to do a bit of cooking this afternoon. Am making a load of veggie soup for snacking /easy lunches, plus am going to try SW pizza for dinner. Looks interesting, involves a crunchy potato & onion base so will see how it goes.

    Food today:

    B - 2 x shredded wheat & semi skimmed

L - bit of left over tuna mayo in pitta bread with salad leaves, fruit

D - SW pizza topped with red pepper, red onion, mushroom, mozerella

    Snacks - fruit, yoghurt

Treat - have 1 glass of wine leftover from weekend

Have a great week everyone ;)

Toniwoty - what are pesto potatoes? Sound nice, I adore pesto. I also hope my 2 week break doesn't mess up your lovely progress chart that you've been doing

Glad to see you are all trying hard. Thought to myself on the way to work this morning that it is defo getting easier. I used to think about binging every 30 mins at least :o Sometimes now I go at least an hour :D

Oh nice stitchin MrsM but what exactly is it for your Mum? My eyes are not that good, a common ailment among Frogs my age, and the piccie is very small  It looks like a brown faced lady with two pink eyes , a little smiley mouth and a pink and purple beehive hairdo :D Very nice ;)

  • :wall: Hiya I am currently about 16 stone (dont dare get on the scales lol!), 5'3" and a size 20-22 so I seriously have to lose weight!!

Lost nearly 2 stone last year due to incredibly awful relationship break up and as am trapped in the same band as him  comfort eating is a regular occurence. So have to get this under control.

I do belly dancing and live near to forests so am planning to start taking walks with OH this weekend and have a couple of workout DVD's to keep me gonig in between.

Anyway, have been going to Slimming World but cant afford to anymore
:( so am taking matters into my own hands but need inspiration for some tasty, easy desserts and low fat snacks which arent just fruit or carrot sticks! Am fine with the planning breakfasts, lunches and dinners its just the desserts and snacks which are a bit troubling.

    Thanks!

Hello Wellington Nelly - Love the name:T
Lots of us on here are doing SW so I'm sure you'll find lots of tips:D I'm a belly dancer too

I just had my stuffed butternut squash *changes colour to avoid confusion*;) very tasty! We had it with 'fried' potatoes and I'm now comfortably stuffed!

Not a lot of exercise today other than walking round the building all day at work - boring:rolleyes: but I'll get up early tomorrow and go for a swim first thing:j

I've only got 2 weeks until I go on my hols  so I'm determined to stick to the plan 100% :)
Last year I bought a tankini and never wore it:rolleyes: I tried it on yesterday and it fits nicely now:D I can't see us having swimsuit weather in Wales but at least I'll have something to wear if the sun does shine:rotfl:
