Morning folks :hello:
I've woken up this morning with a thumping headache:mad: I don't think that the one glass of wine I had last night can have caused it though - bummer!
Plan for today is .................no plans!:D OH is working so I think I'll potter round the house, do some cooking for the week and a bit of shopping, My big frying pan which I use for allsorts has given up the ghost so I need to find a new one....might have a walk to IKEA.
Brekkie will be eggs of some description!
Agapanthus - ((((hugs))))0 -
Glad you're feeling better today jojo and really pleased to hear that that rod has been replaced.

((hugs)) to Agapanthus and anyone else that needs them.
I have managed two days of sensible healthy eating now. I am hoping that today will be a third. I know I am on the right track when I wake up hungry in the morning, instead of still being full from the night before.0 -
:j I've lost weight this week 1lb so now down to 11stone 8lb (not as good as last week when I lost 4lb, is it normal to lose so much in the first week and then slow down?) going in the right direction though.;)
Congratulations to all the losers and maintainers :TOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Morning all
Another loss for me of 1 lb although I would love to say I have lost more. I find it really hard to feel elated at 'only a pound' but its all going in the right direction so I have to be pleaed about that. Its just going to take alot longer than I thought
Today I am off to get my hair cut and coloured, seeing as this is the first time in nearly 15 years I have had my natural hair colour for more than a month its time for a change I think. Come to think of it, this is the first time in nearly 15 years I will have had a professional haircut!
B: Nothing yet, might have something in town
L: Tuna sandwichLasagne
Hope you all have a great weekend :T0 -
Morning all and congrats to the latest losers.... loads again yesterday (wooohoo girls!:T ), cheerfulness:T , catzine:T and floyd:T today.
Apart from raiding the work's bickie tin a few times I haven't been too bad this week, not too good either but nothing that spells complete disaster... yet anyway!
Today's menu...
B-weetabix
L- not sure yet
D- local new spuddies (mmmm, can't wait!), ham and salad, strawberries
Got a couple of hanging baskets to plant up this morning, not sure if I've left it a bit late because everyone else's seem to be in full bloom and mine are going to have the bald, just been planted look... never mind, give it a couple of weeks and they'll be lovely I'm sure.
Good luck with the hair floyd, have a lovely weekend everyone!0 -
Hello everyone - it's a really nice day here today - not too hot either which means I can keep my cardigan on:j
Well done to Cheerfulness:T Catznine:T and Floyd:T on your losses. Cheerfulness - I think it is amazing that you are coping with all that's going on and not eating your way back into the 20's - I know I would be (what am I talking about I am:rotfl: ) Anyway - hope you get your duck eggs - I am still trying to decide whether or not to try them. I saw some in Tescos the other day but when I looked at them in the box they were only as big as hen's eggs (in fact a bit smaller than the large ones) and they were £2.65 for 6 so I thought it wasn't worth it. I thought duck eggs were supposed to be twice the size of hens' eggs or am I wrong?
I have just made up a big polybox of mixed salad and put it in the fridge. I find that when it comes to mealtimes, particularly if I am fed up or hungry, I can't be bothered with all the chopping and so on and so will grab something easy like a buttie, so I thought if I have the salad there ready then I can just add some cold meat and dressing and it will be as quick, if not quicker, than making a buttie. We'll see how it works and if it does then I will do that every day. I love salad but hate all the chopping!
Food today:
Breakfast - two boiled eggs and 1 slice of dry hi-bran bread, small glass of Tropicana blood orange and grapefruit juice.
Lunch - cold meat and salad, Activia yoghurt
Dinner - EITHER mince stuffed peppers or roast chicken and veg - can't decide and have stuff for both defrosted in the fridge - I will see how I feel later.
Hope you are all having a good weekend.Jane

Hi All,
Congratulations to all the losers. Everyone seems to be doing so well.
It is pouring with rain here at the moment but I have been keeping busy listing books on Amazon. I sold a load last year when I stopped teaching so decided to have another go at listing this weekend. I think it was sparked off my OH and I doing some ebay listing on Thursday when it was 5p listing day. Again, it is something I did over a year ago and then stopped doing. I have quite a few teaching magazines and a load of patchwork fabric on with bids on 4 items and watchers on about 10. They all finish tomorrow so fingers crossed.
I had an afternoon volunteering in my old school yesterday - and spent most of it with the little ones hearing them read. It keeps my CRB open and reminds the head that I'm around. It worked too as I have an afternoon's supply booked on Tuesday now.
I came home starving last night and decided to have SW chips with a fried egg. I prepared the chips, heated the frying pan and then realised I had no eggs left after making the lemon curd the other day. I felt quite cheated.
Today's menu will be as follows.
B: Muesli with skimmed milk and raisins. Fresh orange juice.
L: 2 slices toast with lemon curd. Banana.Chicken with rice, mushrooms and peppers. Raspberry yoghurt.
Have a good weekend all,
