Hey guys *waving* some great losses this week. I've STS this week but I'm really happy with that - I've changed my exercise regime and so am expecting to be retaining a lot of water as my muscles start building. Actually I'm resigned to no losses at all for next couple of weeks as my body gets used to it - and you know what, that's just fine. I'm trying to get away from the tyranny of the scales and focus more on what's happening with my body. Because of that I *might* not be posting as much or as bothered if my weight is up and down like a bride's nightie - but don't think I won't be watching you all like Big Brother.

If anyone is interested wanna check out this site http://bodyforlife.com/challenge/champions/2007champions.asp- it shows what can be done if you are willing to get hardcore about your exercise and food regime. I'm debating whether I go this far just yet - I have 12 weeks til my second holiday so theoretically it would be possible to do it - however I also have my first holiday bang slap in the middle and don't want to spoil that by being obsessed by my blooming fitness routine. I'm thinking for now I'll stick with my alternate cardio/strength stuff and then kick it off after Portugal. Maybe :p

Need to get back to eating regularly as well - I've had a really busy week on the road and so have spent far too much time in motorway services drinking skinny lattes and reading sandwich packets :o.

K chickiepies, I am outta here - well done to all losers yet to come. If you've stayed the same - chillax. Seriously. Keep thinking you didn't put the weight on in a week, you ain't gonna lose it in a week. Keep drinking your water, keep counting your steps, keep putting healthy stuff in your body and DON'T STARVE YOURSELF!!!! That is an order ;)

Well done Frogga, MrsM and Cranky :T :T :T

Well done Emptypurse on a STS! :j Don’t give up, perhaps you’re not eating enough especially if you’ve upped your exercise. :j I do loads of exercise and I eat loads! Reducing portion sizes is not an option for me!;)

Mushroom omelette and toast for brekkie, jacket with beans and cottage cheese for lunch and egg Florentine with SW wedges for tea.
Swim at lunchtime to ease my aching muscles from last nights dancing – my feet are still killing me! I’m walking round work in a pair of pumps instead of my toetectors!

Really busy today so I’ll be back later :A

Taplady - OH has done a few of those 'working holidays' - I don't envy you !!
  • Hello everyone - :T :T :T :T well done Mrs M, Frogga, Cranky and Kyle and all other losers! Emptypurse - I know how disheartening it is when you really try and don't lose, but as Frogga says, there can be all kinds of reasons for it and PLEASE don't let it put you off (says she who is put off at the slightest thing.. ) - I'm sure if you continue you will lose well next week. Nix - well done on the STS. After my 8lb gain last week:o I have lost 3lbs this morning, which has probably only been lost in the last couple of days since I started being more sensible and not bingeing. So I am pleased and will hopefully build on it for next week. Today food has been:

Breakfast - fat free yoghurt and 1tbs raisins and 100ml of orange and grapefruit juice (Tropicana - mmmm - although not v. moneysaving..)
Snack - 3 low fat crackers and 2 tsps peanut butter

Don't know about other meals yet, but I have lots of healthy stuff to choose from.

I did a monthly Sainsburys online shop last night which contained all that we should need for the next month, excluding bread, fruit, milk. I ordered a gammon joint for £8 (2.5 kg) because I spend soo much on cold meat for lunches and snacks for kids - they don't like plastic ham (I do!) and will only eat the off the bone stuff and it works out at about £14 a kg:eek: I also bought two extra large chickens for the same reason. So hopefully this month I won't have to spend so much. I was really disciplined and didn't buy any carp either!

Hope you are all having a good day - enjoy your working holiday Taplady. My sister is disabled with learning difficulties and she really looks forward to the holidays she gets and I know how hard the staff work - I know I couldn't do it!

    Hi guys,

Have identified that I really need to force myself to NOT get on the scales every day! I just can't stop myself but its getting silly now. The last few days my mood is measured by it. If I am lower than the previous day I am happy & if its gone up I am fed up. Have really got to force the willpower to ONLY ONLY ONLY weigh myself monday morning. Any tips from anyone on how to control this?

    Food today:

    B - 2 x shredded wheat & semi skimmed

    L - apples & mullerlite

    D - SW chips & beans

Have a good day everyone & well done on losses

I used to have to put the scales in my mum's bedroom - was the only way to stop me being obsessive :o. If not, can you hide them. Put them on top of a wardrobe, or somewhere really a pain to get to?

I haven't been doing too well this week, have eaten lots of sweets, ritz biscuits (2 boxes :o) and some crisps too.

Have been better today - other than the fruit gums :o

Been really tired and keep waking up at 5 am - just got blackout linings for our curtains so slept a bit better last night and hoping that will help kurb the munchies :(
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

    Morning everyone,

Well done for all you losers and sts`s out there, everyone seems to be doing really well. Empty purse as others have said just hang in there and it will happen.
I`ve still not been on the scales and i don`t intend to as i`ve a big night out planned tonight and i`ve no intention of being good-i`m just going to enjoy myself and worry about the consequences later:D

I realised about twenty mins ago that i`d not eaten so i`m just enjoying toast & pate then i`m going to swap the dry washing outside for the wet stuff and then i think i`ll have a nap cos i`ve been up since 5.
I was going to do some dreaded cleaning but as i`ve come over all tired i`ll see as i need to do a few other bits and pieces before i go out.
Dinner will be nothing today and a nice salad for tea later then lots of lager and wine for afters.
    Catch up soon.
    Have a good day everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
