Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome.

Frogga - I don't live too far from Ipswich, well 20 odd miles north ish in Diss just inside Norfolk! All my family come from Ipswich, parents grew up in Kesgrave.

Ruth is a fabbo name!! Ok so I'm a teensy bit biased maybe.

Well food has been awful (as per usual)
Breakfast - 2 HM white rolls toasted with clover and crunchy peanut butter
Snack - packet bacon wheat crunchies crisps
Lunch - nothing as weren't really hungry
Tea - is going to be sausages with pasta - just sausages baked in the oven and chopped up over some pasta. Not very exciting but I'm not a great sauce lover.
    Banana Lovers
Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

    Hi

I have been very good today and have been on a 45 min bike ride.

Although just now i was feeling a bit peckish so i thought i'll go and have a hobnob. Then i remembered and changed my mind. I usually blame the kids for eating them all but now i'm not eating them they've lasted more than 2 days.:o

I can relate to the food fest. i'm not so bad now as i never seem to have more than 5 mins alone in the house:rolleyes: but i used to be terrible. I'd buy food and hide it until i was alone then eat as much as i could until i felt sick.:o

    Hi everyone
    Welcome Ruthie

Just a quick update on the day, todays snacks were two hobnobs one small packet of quavers and the tinyest bar of choccy i`ve ever seen! but it was enough so i`m not complaining.

Tea ended up being pasta & sausages which i did with an onion and mushrooms with mushroom soup for a sauce with garlic & black pepper, i used lincolnshire sausages so it was very tasty.

When i`ve finally been to the shops the snacks will be a lot healthier :o

    Have a good evening everyone.

Maybe the thing on the telly tonight was meant to tell me something....? It's a shame the camera was on the floor and we were on the stage.... it would have been sooooooooooomuch more flattering if he had done it the other way round. Do you think the double chin will ever be an 'in' look? There was an opening shot of the chorus and then loads of archive pix of Man U, with us singing in the background, quite tastefully done! There were only 2 cuts to a pic to the chorus and I was in one of them! (with my double chin!).

More mundane matters... tea was eggy bread for Master and Miss Ivy, DH elected to have cheese omelette and I just had an egg on a slice of toast. Little bit of apple/breadcrumb pud (that was ms, we're still eating it, it made LOADS). Now having a cup of tea before I go to chorus... rehearsing for Bank Hol Mon, when we're singing at the Acoustic Festival of Great Britain. Too tired really, but as we're doing a show, should go.

WIll try and be sensible with eats when I get in... plan to have some cereal for a snack.

Hello folks:hello: Is there a footie match on?????? It's eerily quiet outside, no cars, no kids anyone would think I was in Manchester!

I sent the toad packing :naughty: OH rang to tell me a cheque we'd been waiting for had arrived which cheered me up, I'd decided to buy myself a small bar of 'good' chocolate on the way to dance class but when I got on the shop and looked at it I realised I didn't want it after all :D I did have a momentary wobble as I passed the Magmums.........but I resisted:T :T

Dance was brilliant, quickstep and calypso tonight, wot a workout

I've had pasta with peas, mushrooms and a tbsp of pesto and I have a huge bowl of berries waiting for me......

    See you later folks :A

Congrats Frogga :T :T I've sent the toad to Moscow so he won't bother us for a long while!

    Hi Everyone!
I tend to lurk on here, not posting too often as my conscience tells me I'm still eating too well to be seriously weightwatching. However, for nearly three weeks now I've been getting up early to walk the two dogs for at least 40 minutes! Have done well over 10K steps (sometimes over 13K) every day. Result? Legs looking much trimmer and weight is heading downwards without
too much reduction in my food. And no sweets, biscuits or chocolate - and I don't mind because I can see results. Hurrah!

ecg was clear:j having heart palpitations(sp) but nothing to worry about, if they carry on then have to see dr again, but he advised me to change my lifestyle, get exercise and lose weight, its given me a bit of a scare so basically have to rethink the way i do things from now on.

so will be on this thread for a bit i think:D

had a bit of a naughty moment, dh got me some icecream to cheer me up, so had a bowl of that, was yummy though, but must make him realise he has to help me with this as normally he doenst support me.

Caterina - I grow my basil in a window box down a sheltered side of my house and in a great big terracotta pot on a south facing window sill. Both do well but the window sill is in the lead at the moment.
The amount I get through in the summer I have to sow masses. :D

Ah well if you got too much you can always send me some! My garden is shaded and north facing, fat chance for a good basil! Will try the front garden (although that is always messed about by cats foxes and teenagers!).

    Take care, happy growing!
