    Hi Julia,

That is my experience too. Two years ago I went from 22st to 11 1/2. I weighed myself Monthly and every WD I completely stuffed  Weighing monthly meant it gave me another 4 weeks to undo the damage I'd done.

I think that's perhaps why weighing weekly might help. I just havent got time to get the extra weight off if I do it every week.

Here's hoping anyway. This will be the 3rd time I 've lost 9 st or more  and the lowest I ever got was 7 st something and then had a bmi under 18 which was equally as bad

    Hi

I'm currently weighing in at 14st 10lb/size18/20 and I'm only 5ft 2in! Ideally I'd like to get down to 10st or a size 14 and take it from there. I haven't got a clue what my BMI is but i think when I last did it online my poota told me i was dead! :rotfl:

Well done to all the loosers and hugs to everyone else.

My problem is I have lost the will to eat, I don't get excited about food anymore (is that possible??) I guess too many years of eating rubbish can do this to a person. I'm really lazy as well. Hmm doesn't look good does it! I also have to cater for DH and 2 DS. DS1 really fussy (14) but does now try stuff, DH & DS2 will eat anything! Me I'm really fussy but do try stuff.

We have 3 allotments but I hate gardening and can't get motivated enough to go out there and work on it, but DH loves it so I don't mind really.

Gosh is that the time, my lunch break finished 5 mins ago so I'd better hurry back to work.

    Bye for now

    Ha, found you all!

I haven't been online recently but still working away at the weight loss. Been eating quite well, need to up my water intake still and trying to incorporate some weights in to my exercise regime.

    Today's food has been/will be:
B - tea, a slice of toast with soft cheese & tomato
L - was bought for me! halloumi, beetroot & walnut salad (was so tempted by the burger and chips but resisted, yay me!)
D - have cod & steaming veggies ready.

BTW - my date last week has asked me out again, yippee! It's actually a very good incentive to keep at this, as I want to look all svelte for a change!

Hope everyone is doing well, Jlynncsf.
  • There you all are - been looking everywhere for you. Nice shiney new thread - lovely.:D

GLLT - here you go (hands over lack of appetite) - I am feeling much better and managed to eat a huuuge choccie muffin this morning.:j Good luck:D

Need to get back into exercise now as have not done any since last week and was doing so well.

Saversarn - you are on for lunch, although might have to wait until the summer hols as I work in a school and it is not easy to get out for lunch. Am sure we can sort something out though.

It is now sunny here, was very chilly this morning but wind has dropped. Not too happy with the reports of rain for the BH weekend - typical.

Today have had cereal and grapes, that [strike]large [/strike]muffin and a chicken salad wrap. Not sure about tea as hubby is working and am on my own. Will see how I feel later.

    Off now.

Am not feeling that hungry today, but had 1/2 a carton of soup for lunch (not HM, me bad - but half price, hurrah!) - and a pear.

THINK I'm finishing work early today as half the office is in a course this afternoon, if so i'm going to go home and do some baking: an apple braid, Twink's hobnobs and some Hot X Buns! Or one of those at least. And some garlic bread! Woo! x

Welcome, Ruthie! I've got a similar amount to loose and am only 1/2 an inch taller than you! Best of luck! x

    Hi all

Purpleivy well done to your DD for the driving theory pass!

JoJob, amazing, well done on your weight loss, you must be so pleased!

Meanmarie, have lots of fun in Oz and enjoy the sunshine also for us!

Cheerfulness how do you manage to grow basil plants that stay healthy? Mine always die. Do you keep them in pots or plant them in the ground?

And speaking of plants: Girl Least Likely To, I also haven't planted anything yet in my garden and hope that it is not too late, this weekend probably will be planting day.

Toniwoty, if you want to increase brown rice consumption, go straight to the best and try brown basmati, it is a different kettle of fish from the old sticky short grain brown rice that resembles what my kids call "Hippy Slop"! You can buy in bulk if you get together with a few friends, provided you spend a minimum of "250 (appx - it varies from area to area). A good organisation to check for bulk purchase of healthy foods is Suma: http://www.suma.co.uk/index.html

Taplady, crossing fingers for your weigh-in today, may those two pesky pounds find their way away from you!

Rockie thank you for the carrot and parsnip recipe, I get millions of parsnips in my veg box and sometimes I don't know what to do with them, I shall try your pate.

    Today food:

Breakfast: 3 ryvita, leftover tofu and mushroom scramble, 1 tbsp peanut butter.

Snack: 12 small veg sushi rolls (Sainsbury veg pack selection)

Lunch: Greek salad with 1/2 tbsp olive oil, lentil and pasta soup with onion and curry spices, nectarine

Snack (Planned) 0% greek yogurt with fruit of sorts

Dinner (planned): boiled rice with sweetcorn and soy sauce, large salad with lettuce, tomatoes, fennel, 2 sm slices bread, fruit of some sort

Bye all, work beckons as usual at this time of the afternoon.

    Caterina
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Afternoon all

Hello and welcome to the newbies

Had a quiet day today.... hubby rang from work to tell me he has found out about a lake near by... so tomorrow (german bank holiday)-if it doesn't pee it down we are going to drive there and then walk round it -going to pack up a bit of a nicpic so we can have a few hours together out of the house... and I can burn some extra wobble off :D

I made the mixed bean and grain salad and thats chilling in the fridge.. so i might take a small pot of that for me ;) will pack hubby some sandwiches or a pasta salad and a flask of coffee....well water for me... hoping to walk round have a bite to eat and then get hubby to go round again ;)

right had best get off... think i will have a wallow in the tub before i think about what to have for dinner...im really not hungry  mind thats probably down to the wedges of water melon i have been eating :D
