Yay!!! Put on a pound last week as soon as I started the diet, which was bloody depressing. But jumped on the scales this morning and I've lost 1lb. So back to my starting weight. And weirdly my body feels as though it's 'ready' to lose a couple more over the next week. Does anyone else ever feel like that or is it just me?????

    Morrr...ning!

Well----now you have got me thinking OGITH! I guess it's a combination of things really..
I'm gunna get a bit wittering here, cuz it helps to think aloud sometimes....
    • I've always been a baby elephant shape that obviously matured into a bull elephant size, so I've no real "shape" to get back to IYKWIM.
    • Trousers are always a  cuz I'm quite a distance from me navel to middle back, via the Grand Canyon:D Oooh..might do that in a mo & see how N>S compares to E>W...Just measured & the circumference is defo longer e>w by about 11inches:o ...But I'm in the same position as The Green One so if I remember, I'll see if 'nature's course' has any impact......sorry if you're eating at the mo:p so I'm usually at least 1 dress size larger for trucks--hence dropping two dress sizes in seven weeks...you following all this:cool:
    • No2 offspring has been given the go-ahead for light exercise SIZE=1]damaged discs in the lower lumbar[/SIZEso we're gunna invest in the Hip Hop Abs dvd & all have a bash...they like the music & types of moves cuz it's a bit like kick-boxing meeting break dancing, & cuz they'll be doing it with me they can't moan about me using the telly:D
    • I've just been given the wonderful news that I've developed rheumatism, so between No2 & I, we'll be taking things very slowly but working on upper body toning in particular till the rest of the body is able to catch up.
So that's how I decided to try & aim for a smaller bra size. Looking at it laid out now, methinks it'll be the back measurement that will be affected, but perhaps toning up the bingo wings will help the jubblies defy gravity & shape up a bit too.

Phew! That was the easy bit.........now I gotta put it into practice_pale_

Good Luck with the W/I peeps. And remember--if the needle doesn't move in the right direction--the immortal words of Gloria, the Goddess of Failed Fat-Fighters:- "I WILL SURVIVE!"

Well done everyone on the great weight losses. There are so many too so sorry for not mentioning everyone by name.

I too have lost 1lb which brings me to 10st 10lbs. I noticed you hadn't put in my weight loss last week Toni, which was also 1lb, and now means I have lost 12lbs altogether. Also my JIJ Challenge is to lose 7lbs. I was really pleased this morning as I wasn't sure the scales would register a loss - I could do with ones that show ounces as well I think. I've also noticed that the size 14 cropped jeans I bought several weeks ago (cheap Asda ones as I wanted to grow out of them fast) are very loose, so much so that I can pull them up and down without unfastening them.

I haven't been particularly good this week - too many extras such as a blob of butter on my new potatoes or another spoonful of Greek yoghurt on my fruit have been creeping in. So I have continued to eat around 1400 to 1500 calories each day despite no long walks and deciding to go for 1250.

B: Muesli with fruit and fibre mixed in, raisins and skimmed milk.
L: HM tortilla wrap with chicken, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and HM coleslaw. Orange.
D: Tagliatelle with cheese, garlic and mushrooms. Greek yoghurt with lemon juice and tiny bit of sugar.

Have a good day all, and good luck anyone else yet to weigh in.

  • Hi everyone

    I've lost 2lbs:j .

Well done everyone else who's weighed today. Good on ya girls.:T :T :T

Big Mumma ~ I'm the opposite to you, I always have to have a dress size bigger up top. Now I've started to lose a bit of weight though, that's moving to a 2 dress-size difference, (all you people squeezing into size 14s look away now) I'm managing to get into size 20 bottoms but still in size 24 tops. I'm totally out of proportion. When you've made your target, let me know how you did it so I can have a go. If any specific exercises work I need to do them.

    Food today

B - 2 slices toast with peanut butter and jam

L - 2 slices of my dad's hm bread with marmite and cherry tomatoes.

    D - Going to SIL's so don't know.

Tomorrow we're going to a hotel for my parents-in-law's Golden Wedding so not sure what we'll be eating all weekend. I'll try to be very good.

    Have a great weekend everyone.
