Sorry about the rant, but I AM just so very angry about the whole chuffing lot of it.

How can these experts know what it's really like to be over-weight for all of your life? And on the Tonight programme, they are now insulting our intelligence by suggesting that a cash incentive will help us lose weight.

Drug addicts, alcoholics, gamblers, true eating disorders
they all get treated better than us, even tho their 'sickness' is totally self-inflicted, but how the dickens are you supposed to avoid food:mad:

Bobadog - love the sound of the rebounder, I've been thinking of buying one

I'm enjoying it so far! Makes me smiley, bouncing, even though i'm a bit rubbish. It was advertised in Argos for £17.99 but was actually £10.99 - so cheaper than 3 trips to the swimming pool!! x

    Morning everyone,
i`ve not been near the scales this morning so i feel weird, i`m going to try and leave it for a couple of days.

Nix - your calorie counting posts are really interesting, i`ll look at the link to the site later.

This month i aim to do what i failed to do last month and get below 15 st so i`ll see how i go, it should be achieveable if i don`t act the idiot and start shoving grub down when i`m fed up.

    Brekkie today was a yogurt

Dinner will be pate on toast and tea will be a huge salad i made this morning.

The salad has very small amounts of many things in to keep it interesting, whitecabbage, onions, peppers, carrots, cottage cheese & chives, a meatball, boiled egg and 1 tsp mayo, beetroot, feta and a tiny piece of peppered mackerel. It should be really tasty YUM. If i need something later `ll have a slice of sundried tomato & basil bread toasted.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Big Mumma - I agree with you, I'm a big fan of Fern and feel really disappointed that she took the surgery route  - although to be fair she's been a bit stum on how she's lost the weight - until now!

Must stop reading this thread, as had toast and marmite at 7.15 this morning and I'm starving - but won't be able to have anything else until I've come round after my op - which'll be ... whenever...! Had my last glug of water as well now :-(

    Enjoy your food folks :rotfl:

    Morning,

I've just been speaking to a friend that I used to go to weight watchers with, I left before Christmas and found this forum at the end of Jan.
I have lost 17lbs and zilch in readies and my poor friend has lost 4lbs and £115!!!! but still she insists WW is working:confused: and has excuses for everything, I'm biting my tongue so hard :silenced: she will see the light in her own time I guess:rolleyes:
    B- porridge and raspberries
    S- satsuma
    L-corned beef roll and apple
    S-banana
D HM beefburger wedges and salad.
Also gin and tonic or two at the quiz tonight :shhh:
I use the daily plate too, it's free and to be honest I like the graphs and things. I also suffer from food amnesia, I just forget what I have eaten unless I record it, and usually after I've eaten something else it all comes back to me :o
I have one of those little trampoline things but it's dismantled in the cupboard at the moment- it squeaks like a workaholic tarts bed springs when I bounce and I've never mastered a somersault:rolleyes2 Maybe I should give it a dust and a squirt of WD40.
    Have a grand day
  • Morning

Have been flying around the house this morning getting it clean for the arrivial of the Queen, well my mum actually  . She's coming for some lunch with Dad. DD 2 3/4 has been sat on her potty for a good portion of the morning witht the trots  , poor thing. Have eggs hard boiling atm and ham to make them all some nice sandwiches.

We got out in the garden last night and finally (!!!!) sown most of my veg. The weather has been rubbish for getting out there and am relieved they are in and can start anytime they want to......... Ready yet? Also potted up an old knackered belfast sink with alpines, DD enjoyed helping with that one, "carefully" putting all the plants in, stones around and placing shells - NOT :rotfl: .

Not eaten much yet today with all my running around emptying potty's and cleaning so will have a banana to get me through to lunch and the arrival of said royalty.

    Hi All

Thanks for the information, Nix. I am aware that I shouldn't go too low, which is why I have been trying to keep around 1400 calories - but I have only lost 11lbs since January!! I did go on daily plate but when I inputted my height etc, it told me I need to stick to 1150 calories to lose 2lbs a week!! I think its because I'm only 5ft tall. Anyhow I shall try to have 1250 calories on days without a long walk and maybe stick with 1400 on days with extra exercise. Thanks for the concern though.

I am still in my dressing gown this morning even though I originally got up before 7am. OH had to work overnight and didn't get in till 8am. I went back to bed with him for a bit but then got up and left him sleeping. I don't really want to disturb him so haven't been back in the bedroom to get dressed.

I've done more cooking this morning. I made another batch of yoghurt yesterday - not as successful as the first lot probably because OH switched it off without realising and I didn't notice for 4 hours. I left it in the yoghurt maker longer and then straining in the fridge overnight but I am not sure how it will taste. Anyhow, with the strained off liquid I have made a dozen scones. I shall freeze half raw and bake the other half straight away. I can resist them cooked but must admit to having quite a few tastes of the raw mixture. I have also made some of Mrs M's tortilla wraps and will try one for lunch and freeze the rest.

It's pouring with rain this morning so I had to cancel my planned walk with friend but we did do a 7 mile walk yesterday after I had posted. I shall have a quick walk up to the opticians this afternoon but it looks like that will be it for today.

    B: Muesli etc.
    Snack: Scone mixture
L: HM tortilla wrap with prawn salad and HM coleslaw. HM yoghurt with stewed rhubarb.
D: Not sure but I quite fancy a piece of salmon with new potatoes and vegetables. We are going shopping later so will see what bargains are to be had at the supermarket. Orange.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all,

    Food today:
    Porridge with tinned cherries
a breakaway choc bar (but only has a little bit of chocolate on it :p)
    Two apples

Leftover pasta with left over chicken and leek pie mix - can't seem to face throwing any food away

Tea will be salmon fillets (they were half price in Tesco for a bag of frozen ones - think they were 8 pieces for £5 instead of £10). With erm probably roasted sweet potatoes as I'm a bit addicted to them - might try them as wedges for a change but don't know what to sprinkle on em ;)

Off for a walk at lunch as have ebay parcels to send and OH's cooked chicken pieces to get from Aldi - if they have any - they keep selling out and I think a caterer must be buying the whole freezer section full as they assured me they get deliveries every day
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

    Hi :hello:

I finally weighed myself today. 11st 13lb :o Not as bad as I thought it could be as I did get up to 13 1/2 st while pregnant with DS  (I was 9 1/2st b4 I got preggers). DS is 20 months now so I've lost just over a pound a month since he was born which is not good enough really.

I can't really exercise because of my illness and I spend most of my time sitting down, so I think to lose weight I'm gonna have to cut back a lot on what I eat :( I snack a lot in the evening so this week I'm gonna try and just have something to drink rather than chocolate & biccies :o Lets see how I get on.

Do you think I should set a target? Maybe 1lb a fortnight as that would be an improvement on what I've managed so far. Not sure

    Food for today:
    B: crunchy nut cornflakes
    L: egg & toast
    D: chicken curry

Have a nice day everyone :)
