Still, keep trying! At least if I STS it's better than putting on. I'm here and not beating myself up about it...at least not today.

    Breakfast Fruit and oats probably

    Dinner prob gammon

Not sure where we'll be at lunch time, have my parents here still.

    Morning all!

How are you enjoying bouncing, Rockie? I've not been on mine today, but OH and I are going to have a session tonight - gonna power walk to my docs appointment in a moment instead.

I had an odd dinner - 2 egg omelette, in a tiny spray of olive oil, with 2 mushrooms and a slice of ham. Then a banana on toast. And a SMALL glass of rose wine - was still 26 calories under my aim for the day though! I also purchased a bag of couscous so now need to read what to do with it to make it taste of anything!!!

    Today:
B: 1 slice Kingsmill 50/50 toast with 3 plum tomatoes on. Glass of apple juice.
    S: Banana
L: prawn veg stirfry w/ noodles (leftover from Monday!)
    S: peach
D: Swedish meatballs in Jack Daniels sauce (delicious! Will only have a couple) with rice, salad and corn on the cob

Have a lovely day everyone! I've got a muggy headache, so hope that b*ggers off soon!!! xx

    morning all :D

Its raining ..its raining :j ooohhhh im so happy... its actually lovely and cool at the moment.. it was getting far too much... just 1 day like this will help... mind it is still 76 -indoors in the shade:eek: ..but its much better.

So how are we all this lurvly morning? all tickity boo i hope :D

I have had my muesli this morning.. decided to look at the nutritional info on the side..all this talk of cal counting had me intrigued... and for my 30g serving plus the bit of full fat milk i have..im looking at 150cals  I think thats bloomin brilliant as its packed with fruit, nuts n seeds:T . Now you see, the thing is..it is soooo yummy my 1st thought was ohhhhh at THAT many cals -i could have a bigger portion :wall: ..which im not as i have registered that 30g has been enough all week -i would just be being a greedy moo moo :p . It also reminds me why counting -in any form is not good for me ;) .
I know when i did WW.... because i was soooo big i used to get 24 points.. and because i was eating all low fat stuff at the time i always had loads of points left at the end of the day i would spend the evening thinking "hmm i have * points left-what can i eatfor that?" and wouldn't stop until i had eaten them  ..... so NO counting for me i think :D

Hubby is in a golf competition all day so won't be back until sometime this evening... everything outside is looking lovely so im gonna park my bum and x stitch all day :T
The quiches were a hit..but hubby does prefer the bacon one to the minted pea n goats cheese one :j ..guess i will just be a good wifey..and use the half that is left for my lunches :p nomnomnom

    meals today :-
    • brekkie -muesli
    • lunch - fancy a plate of fruit me thinks
    • dinner -quiche with salad and hm coleslaw
    • snackies -fruit or yogurts
Well even though i meal plan..im have been able to cross off 2 meals as there is enough quiche to do tonights main meal, and i have a portion of hm chichen n sweetcorn soup and a ramekin of the cream, egg and cheese mix from the quiche -so tomorrow will be a creamy chicken, sweetcorn and veg pasta dish :T ... and i have had 4 NSD in a row too :D

Frogga :T- well done on resisting the pressure from your work mates.. i don't think its daft at all.... i know where you are coming from... If you have a set meal plan in your mind and know what you are eating when -it wouldn't take much to throw it all out of kilter..so well done for ignoring them and standing your ground..
It drives me mad.. its like when you go to a party or something and everyone is constantly "ooh have a drink, its a party, ohh GO on" ... its not that i don't drink -i do-very occasionally -but i have now registered that i don't have to be filling my face or getting pie eyed n legless to enjoy myself -just seems no-one else i know but hubby, mum and 1 DB accept it  luckily the more someone tries to push me the more determined i become..bit like a pack mule :rotfl:

Cheerfulness/rockie.. glad you are getting comments now...it makes a difference doesn't it :T . I can see why a lot of folks don't like to mention.. i sometimes think, when someone has commented -"oh so you thought i was a fat bloater before" :rotfl: ...its a mine field isn't it :p

Good luck with the weigh in Taplady ;) -hmmmm would it be cottage cheese going on that jacket by chance? :p

ohhhhhh i have pods on my broad beans now :D how easily excited am i :rotfl:

right will get off and see whats happening

good luck to all weighing in..and hellooooo to everyone...come on folks .we can do this...:D

Dancing tonight  last one sadly! But I have got another one I might give a try.....
and I will have to have a walk at lunchtime to get some coffee and salad.

Boiled eggs and soldiers this morning. Bulgar wheat, roast veg and chick pea salad for lunch and then fruit for snacks. Will decide tea when I get in but it will need to be quick as I'm always ravenous after dancing

    Sun is shining here :T

Hi guys. New to this thread, so please guide me if you feel the need.

Have a lot of weight to lose, and have been watching the weight since January when I had a personal situation which helped shift a stone quickly. Since then although things have improved in that department I have managed to slowly lose. I have lost a total of about 1.5 stone so far. However, I joined a gym (for the first time) about 2 months ago and have been trying to go around 3 times a week.

I have noticed a gradual reduction in areas that are toning like my arms and around the shoulders, neck and face area. However on the scales there hasn't been any movement for a few weeks now.

Is this connected with the excercise, do you think? Can anyone else relate to this? I am thinking the food portions must still be too big, if I am excercising but it isn't coming down on the scales.

Any help and advise greatly appreciated.

You guys all seem to be doing such a great job in supporting each other.

Great minds think alike MrsMc....well your mind & my minuscule molecule....about BOB's intra-marital activities.....some of us are singletons y'know!:rotfl:& do not wish to know what goes on behind closed doors:D Bit OT, but they are talking x-stitch on Shabby Chic just now...thought you may fancy a wander over there?

About folk passing comment too; sometimes they don't notice we're disappearing in front of their eyes, for the same reason we can't see it for ourselves, if they see us every day...IYKWIM. I know that when the offspring were little, I would suddenly think they had shot up a foot over night:o which of course never happened. I thought I hadn't changed shape that much, but then wore a T shirt yesterday that positively hung from my shoulders where once it fitted like a second skin.

I was reading the paper yesterday about Ms Britton...& this will be my final comment... I have no interest in how many times the Queen blows her nose or where Wayne Sleep gets his hair cut BUT.....When some such as Ms Britton, Ms Diamond etc, state publically on television how patronising the general public can be about body shape, they are--IMO--setting themselves up as Champions for the Cause. For those same people to later profess that 'you too can lose weight' whilst leaving out the small detail of having intestinal surgery, deserve to be ridiculed for their double standards.

OK--that's it---soap box is chopped up & ready for kindling:p

  • Hello everyone - PC has been playing up for a few days, but seems to be okay now. Well done to all the losers and STSers - I wish I could be counted among you but my eating has been totally out of all control for the last few days - I've just had a 12" Subway breakfast sub, 3 cookies and then come home and had two slices of buttered toast and a huge piece of leftover carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and now I feel sick and even more fed up.

I think I might have to not post any more for a while until I can get my head sorted out. I saw the stuff about Fern Britton at the weekend and this morning went for a consultation for a band at Transform. The surgeon said he would do one for me, but when he went through the risks I started having second thoughts - I would have one for sure if I knew that I would get through the operation alright... I am going to see another surgeon (the one who was on Jeremy Vine on Monday) at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle on Saturday to see what he says. I guess if I have that done then I won't be able to post on here because it definitely isn't weight loss OS style - but TBH I am just getting nowhere fast at the moment and feel in total despair. One of the Mums at school has lost 8.5 stones with a band since last September and that's what's tempting me - although I know that Mrs M has lost nearly that much in the same time just with diet and exercise and I know in my heart of hearts that Mrs M's way is the right one, but I just can't do it at the moment. Every day I get up and say "Right! today I am going to eat healthily!" but as the day goes on I just feel so desperately unhappy about myself and the stuff going on with DD and ex OH that I eat rubbish. For a few minutes I feel better and then I end up even worse.

Anyway - this is such a positive thread and you are all doing so well that you don't want me depressing everyone so I will stop now. I will still read the thread to see how you are doing!
