    morning all!

no chance to post yesterday so its a belated Happy Birthday to Mr Frogga:beer:

havent been too bad over the weekend but could have been better:D
Work later again for me with the possibility of a meal out - its a pain going out as its so difficult to get anything meat free thats low fat in a pub:rolleyes: probably end up with a jacket spud again!

My June challenge is to get back to my target weight of 10 stone so I've got to lose 3 and a half pounds - not a lot but it takes a while when you are so close to target plus I've got a weeks holiday in Devon soon too!

Not planned my food today but for breakfast I've had some soaked muesli and will take some salad to work as our salad leaves are now ready to eat:j

Have a great day all and good luck to anyone weighing in today!
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Morning all,

Feeling good this morning. I've got a week off:D :D , the sun's trying to shine, and I've just weighed in..... 1.5lb off for me:j !! Means I've broken the 9 stone barrier (8-12.5) and I'm pleased as punch:p !! Going to aim for 4lb for JIJ.....know it's going to get harder now but hoping to give it a good kick start this week while I'm off (lots of walks, no nibbling in work to relieve the boredom!), and I've got a shopping trip with a friend on Friday so that in itself should be incentive to behave!

Saturday's meal out was lovely, roast shoulder of lamb, veggies and local new spuddies swimming in butter followed by home made raspberry mousse, delish!

Don't know what I'm eating today yet, will sort that in a min, then do a bit of tidying up.... nothing too strenuous, don't want to mess my new nails up!

Hope everyone who was feeling ropey yesterday is better today.

Good luck this week everyone, see you later.

Just a quicky as off to DD's shortly.
Congratulations all you wonderful losers :T :T :T , what a great start to the month!!!
Belated happy birthday to Mr Frog _party_

Hope all you poorly peeps will soon be bouncing with health again and full of all the gorgious fruit and veg that's coming into season.

MRSM you have alot to answer for with your APOTMENT. My DH came back yesterday with, one very large plastic drum, 1 plastic water tank, 2 fish trays, and a barrel cut in two lengthways. He keeps muttering about 'his apotment', at least it proves he does listen when I tell him about this tread, bless him :D .
7 bags of compost later plus a rain water diverter kit for the huge drum and he was in his element fitting the tap to the bottom of the drum, emtying all the compost into the new containers and moving potatoes sacks around to make room for the new comers. However when I suggested he actually planted some seeds he instantly fled :rotfl: . That's my department all that nurturing stuff, and to think his grandfather was a head gardener!!

Hope you all have a great day.
    Suz

  • New week, new month, new start. Really am going to give myself a kick up the bum as have been feeling yucky for that past couple of weeks because I've been eating carp. Need to stop eating bread, it just makes me bloated. Anyway, I'm going to aim for 4lb in June.

    So, todays meal plan.....

B - Smoothie (banana, watermelon, milk and frozen red berries)
    L - Pasta salad
D - Cauli cheese and bubble & squeak.

Will snack on fruit and keep my paws off the galaxy choc ices still in the freezer :p .

Well done to heavenfire, droopydrawers :j

Happy Birthday to Mr Frog :bdaycake:

    Hey guys!

Mad weekend... Bruce Springsteen on Friday (didn't drink any alcohol, shared a Pret A Manger 'Love Bar' (pumpkin and vanilla) with OH before hand, and at 1am when we get home we boiled up some noodles and shared a packet of low fat crisps! Not too bad, but VERY late.

Saturday: OH's parents visited. 2 hours of mad mad cleaning. Breakfast: 1 slice toast. Lunch: HM pizza (low fat mozarella, HM tomato and red pepper salsa). 2 small glasses of red wine. Dinner: TAKEAWAY curry (our second in 18 months!) - was delicious and not very greasy - had plain rice and chicken balti - plenty of leftovers for OH. Shared a Naan. 1 JD and diet coke.

    Sunday: Strawberries and maple/pecan pastry
L: quasadillas (red pepper salsa, ham and cheese)
D: spaghetti bolognaise (65g wholemeal) and low fat garlic bread. large glass of rose wine.
Desert: strawberry angel delight with white choc grated on (naughty)

BUT I purchased a trampette / rebounder yesterday - did 2 minutes of intense bouncing and about 5 minutes of slow bouncing yesterday, before falling off it and grazing one shin on the TV unit and cutting my other knee! Exercise is dangerous!

    Today:
B: 1 x toast and 1 boiled egg - then 2 minutes bouncing and 3 jogging (am starting slow!!!)
    S: apple
L: 30g leftover wholemeal pasta w/ hm tomato and red pepper salsa.
    S: low fat SKi yoghurt
    D: prawn stirfry

Wish me luck with this trampette thing!!!! xx

    Morning folks :hello:
Back in work this morning, feeling much better today.

I had a scrummy tea last night, pasta bows, mushrooms and asparagus (whoopsed in MrT) topped with feta cheese and served with salad - YUM :T It was a throw together but it really worked!

I even had a walk yesterday, I walked up to meet OH from work and we walked back together - 5500 steps, not bad for the first movement in a week! :j

Toad - soaked oats with yoghurt and berries for brekkie, pasta waldorf salad (HM) with cottage cheese for lunch:drool: and fruit for later. Tea will be decided when I get in as I only have myself to see to, OH is working until late tonight.

I've obviously been missed at work.......loads to do!!! See you later folks :A

I've got to join in with this again, I am back on the diet wagon and trying to shift a stone that has crept up on me since last summer. Just had a holiday and it's spurred me on to lose this again!
I have planned my day's meals (calorie counted and all home cooked) so I am raring to go, if only I kick myself off the PC and get on with the flying list!

Hope everyone is doing well and happy x

Really struggling with motivation at the moment - I'm battling with very mild depression and have good/bad days mood wise. If I'm feeling positive then it's easier to make small changes each day. If I'm feeling down then I just can't seem to break those bad habits. I had a bad day yesterday and ended up buying a family-sized bag of fruit pastilles and a bar of Cadbury's milk choc, all of which I scoffed within half an hour. Today I've already given in and had two biscuits with my mid morning cup of tea.

Does anyone else have the same problem? Any tips on how to avoid compulsive eating when you're having a 'down' day?

    Hi all,
Hi MrsM - I'm still here but seem to lurk more than post these days. Still maintaining my weight loss and it seems to be fairly easy to stay the same at the moment - but worried I'll get cocky again and it will all go to pot (or to bum as the case may be ;))

Been busy trying to declutter and ebay stuff as well as purchase new clothes that actually fit (well new to me - charity shops and ebay mostly).

Think OH is coming round to the idea of growing some salad veg - he loves rocket, we eat quite a bit of spinach these days, as well as cherry toms, bell peppers and sweet potatoes. He kept saying no to me growing stuff indoors and we haven't started sorting the garden out yet, but the other week he mentioned one corner (of our very small garden) and that he could build a raised bed for if I want to grow some rocket and bits :D. I think it was the comment of always having really fresh salad veg that might have swung it ;)

So, are they all easy to grow in a fairly shaded garden? I'm not hugely green fingered - outdoor roses and indoor christmas cacti are about the only things I really know how to deal with :o We have no greenhouse and no room for one either (plus it would probably get nicked as it's a garden thats open to everyone using the back entrance of the flats and so the gate is open for anyone to walk in!!).
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
