Started a fresh today. For the first time in ages I didn't check the calories, fat content or points value of my food. It felt both liberating and scary at the same time. Eating foods with a highish points rating was making me feel so guilty I'd end up binging, so I've given my books and points calculator to dh to hide away.

Spent most of the morning gardening and the afternoon cooking freezer meals for ds.

    B: Weetabix
S: apple & half a parsnip (was cooking them for ds and couldn't resist - tasted all the better for it :rotfl: )
    L: chicken sandwich & yoghurt
    S: banana & fruit muffin
D: Creamy ham tagilatelli & a handful of popcorn

    Hope everyone is feeling better.
Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j

    Good morning everyone,

May was a hopeless month for me in the "weight loss world". I sort of lost my OS head a bit as I was busy and a bit side tracked with everything that happened.

I am back to making meals, and I'm enjoying my "cut and come again" salad leaves that are in a pot on the windowsill. I'd really recommend them for anyone who lives on their own and likes salad (dh working away just now). I used to hate wasting money on lettuce that I couldn't possibly eat all of. Now I just snip a bit off as required.

I am really going to make an effort to eat healthily this month.

    Take care all of you!

P.S. Happy Birthday Mr Frog balloons.gif

Nigella makes shredded wheat into little nests with chocolate and eggs? NO, maybe not! Could you incorporate into a low fat loaf?

I've had a bad weekend really for food, Sat with dd & friends, yesterday felt as if it was really bad, but infact maybe not as bad as seemed. I'm not used to eating 3 courses, first was healthy, tiny portions of each smkd sal, few prawns, hm salmon pate on a plate with salad bits, Delish, Then roast chick, trimmings and veg. I only had a tiny bit of each thing, then strawberries with lemon cream, but small portions. Then prebirthday cake for dd. Champagne, a half glass with OJ and half glass red wine, Could have been a whole lot worse. MIL is watching her weight at the mo.

Today shouldn't be too bad, breakfast in a min of fruit and maybe a little cereal of half scone.

Lunch: MIL gave me all the fish stuff left from last night, so we'll have that with some salad. More fruit.

Dinner: MIL gave me some of the roast chicken etc from last night and the choc/cherry/cream cake. I'm not bothered about the cake, but will put the chicken in some mushroom sauce to stretch for 5 of us, dd on vegi alternative.

I really need to get my head round eating properly, otherwise I'll have had visitors for over a week with too much potential for disaster.

I seem very stationary with my weight, but I suppose it's better than putting on! Would like to shift a few lb before hols.

Hope you all have a good day.

    Good Morning!

I have been off the thread (and the healthy eating unfortunately) for a good week and a half really but I'm back now because I'm pretty sure I've put on all the weight I lost last month and I feel thoroughly podgy and annoyed with myself. So this is it now - fresh start and I'm SERIOUS. It's my BF's sisters wedding 10 weeks on Saturday and I AM going to lose a stone beforehand.

I hope everyone else is well, I haven't had time yet to catch up on the posts but I'll try to later on today.

My plan for today food and exercise wise is:

B - just had a rather large bowl of branflakes with skimmed milk and a good sprinkling of sugar (the last time I'll be having sugar!)
Ex - Going for a run at about 10.30 - got a 5.4 mile route mapped out.
L - either eating at Mums (she's on SW so it'll be a healthy one) or having a ham salad sarnie at home, haven't decided yet!
    Ex - Self defence class
    D - Tuna pasta bake

    Snacks - fruit, shape yoghurt
Treats - one double Jack Daniels at the pub later!

I'm afraid I'm going to bore you all with my daily plans as I'm more likely to stick to it if I've told someone about it. Its the last day of my holiday today, back to work tomorrow and I think I'll find it easier to stick to a routine with my eating then. Right, positive head on - I'm ready to face the day!:D

I'm going to weigh in tomorrow morning for my new start which gives me 4 WI's in June. My target for June (hi Toni!) is to lose 5lbs

    Morning all,

Quick one as DS2 waiting on his English work and mum coming down for day in a few mins.

    Food today:
Probably grapefruit as not too hungry
Home baked ham salad with HM apple coleslaw and jacket pot
    Egg salad sandwich with mayo

    Snacks - apples, oranges

Ate rather too much pizza, curry and garlic bread at my friends house saturday night but it was a lovely relaxing evening and just what we needed. :D

Can finally start saving some money by harvesting my basil and rocket I've grown to add interest to my salads. Can't wait for all the rest to start producing. :j

MRSMC - chilli peppers are weeny in my house. How are yours coming on?

Heavenfire - brilliant loss! Well done to you. :T :D

    Hi all

Really tired as we didn't get back until late from the Paul McCartney concert at Anfield but I stiill have to get into work so my routine will be pretty normal. Yesterday i didn't eat breakfast and had a low fat mozarella and vine tomato sandwich on granary baguette and a few lightly salted Kettle chips. When I got home I had a hot pitta filled with halloumi and vine tomatoes. Probabaly too much cheese but I eighed it all and checked I wasn't overdoing it

B: porridge made with water and semi milk with some strawberries
L: mixed salad with some tuna
D: Not sure yet, probably something simple like pasta with tomato based sauce
