Morning all. Very alcoholic weekend - thank goodness my visitors are leaving today! I'll be gutted if I've put on this weekend but realistically that is highly likely. Bah humbug. I'm sooo tired, just running on empty and don't seem to be able to concentrate re food, just grabbing whatever is to hand.

    Morning everyone
Hope you`re all having a good BH.

Yesterday i was so busy i didn`t get much to eat, i had hot roast pork sandwiches for dinner (no brekkie) and later at night i had pate on toast.

I did eat a quarter of a tin of condensed milk and had about 20 cups of tea but thats about it.
When i`ve walked the houndlets i`ll have some toast.
No idea what i`ll be having later as i can`t always be bothered when its only me but i`ll be batch cooking this afternoon so i`ll find something then.

    Have a good day peeps.

    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I can join please :hello: I am in desparate need to loose some weight. I get married on 16th August. I managed to loose 3 stone with WW just after my daughter was born last march, but I seem to be slipping (at rapid speed) back up. It was when I went back to work full time, I just dont have any time - excuses :D

I used to walk my son to and from school every day, that doesnt happen anymore.....and I havent really got the time (or money) to go back to WW.

Do you think it is possible to loose weight without the clases?

I am out of house from about 7am - til 5ish and my daughter goes to bed at about 6! so going out for a walk with her in buggy after work is out of question.

I really need to get a wriggle on as there is only about 12 weeks until the big day. I havent weighed myself as I dont own any scales, but I can feel that I have put on i am about 5ft 3 and at last weigh in was 13st BUT I know that has changed a LOT. :o:o

    Anyway sorry for rambling.

    Morning !

welcome Sylvia - you'll get lots of support and tips from the great people on here - MRSMacawber is an inspiration to us all having lost 6 stone!:A and with frogga you are guaranteed a laugh!:D Tonitowty collates all our successes and failures so put any losses or gains in big bold writing every week, of course dont feel obliged to do this if you dont want to.
Most of us post our daily menus too!

Had a carp day yesterday - didn't have a proper lunch so ate a fresh crean viennese whirl and packet of low fat crisps in the car while we were out! blame DH for the cakes as he bought 4 from Tesco and ate 3 himself:rolleyes:
I ate a good healthy tea but later had a breakaway bar and digestive biscuit in bed!:o on the plus side we did a lot of walking and also walked the dogs in the evening too. Am hoping for a better day today!

    B - soaked muesli

L - jacket spud and cottage cheese with salad

D - quorn nuggets with salad and HM wedges

snacks - bananas, pears and grapes. Also got some yoghurt. Am thinking of buying an EasiYo yoghurt maker, anyone use one?

Good luck to those weighing in today! - been quiet here over the weekend!

    Hello and welcome Sylvia

Taplady.. jacket potato and cottage cheese? that will make a nice change :rotfl: nice to see someone as addicted as we are to that :D

:T on the new outfit rose :D

well is raining here.. which i would normally be peeved about..but i figure it will do the veggies some good, and it also gives me chance to cook something warm to use some stuff up out of the freezer ;)
So i have taken out some hm sausages and im going to do them in the oven with onions, carrots (and parsnips for me) and steamed potatoes n veggies :D .. and have taken out a tub of hm cream of broccoli soup for hubbies flask tomorrow-have a new loaf rising in the bowl to go with it.
I have just microwaved the rhubarb and im going to add the apfel mus and cherries and then put it in dishes and top with jelly

The bonus is it means i don't have to top up the salad stuff just yet... im even hoping for it to be overcast all week so i can get away without shopping and make some space in the freezers :T

right i will get off and get something done... well x stitching :p
have a great day and hello to everyone :D

    Morning all!

I have been AWOL from the thread all weekend and have been really bad:mad:. It all started with that flippin chinese meal on Thursday night. This is what I always do, I can be really, really good until something upsets the routine or I allow myself a treat . In this case, its been TOTM, I had my works meal out on Thurs, My BF has been away since thursday and got back last night, and I had to stay at my Mums all weekend to look after the little boy she fosters while she and my step-dad went away for the weekend. My mums house is full of all the foods I don't keep in my house because I can't resist them, plus, once I get started eating junk, I'll even eat stuff I don't like that much, just because its there. I think I'm mad and I'm so angry with myself. I weighed myself this morning and I've put on another 1.5lb over the weekend, plus the 1lb I'd already gained last week. Why do I do it?:wall:

At least my physio gave me the all clear to get running again.....

Hope everyone is well, congrats to any losers:T and (((hugs))) to those that need them.

    Hey Gang....Welcome Newbies & Welcome Back Absentees:p

I've been nibbling on fruit:j but not eating in between:( I've been trying to take on more water:T but keep forgetting as the day goes on:mad: Will I ever get it right:confused:

On a good-ish note, I've spoken with the offspring & they are willing to go along the healthy food path with me. So with that in mind, I've listed all the meals we like & others that I fancy 'experimenting' with:D

We're starting today--No1 & I are having a bash at our very first totally-HM pizza. I'll have a squizz at the recipe in the BM book in a moSIZE=1]there's a loaf in just now so no real hurry[/SIZE; some grated chees that needs using up; mushrooms; onion; toms; peppers; bit of ham; pineapple.....m'be a hawaiian along with a veggie margueritta would be best:rolleyes: The store cupboard also has passata &/or puree for the base---which do you recommend? I've never used passata so don't know what the consistency is like:o
Ooh....I'll have to brave the deluge & see if the basil has survived:j & we've salad/coleslaw ingredients too!

How early is too early for dinner:drool: :rotfl:

  • Hello all

Had a very lazy day yesterday - did absolutely nothing except put one load of washing in the machine!!! Didn't even go swimming.

On the plus size food was good. This is what I ate

B ~ Scrambled tofu with chives, grilled mushrooms and tomato and a piece of toast. Then I had a kiwi fruit

L ~ HM carrot and lentil soup with two small rolls

D ~ HM veg savoury rice (only had a very small portion because I had picked at the kids' leftover veggie sausage and chips while I was cooking!). Two soya yogurts.

And no snacks or picking in between so I was very restrained. I am finding that the prospect of having to put what I eat on here stops me from eating so much. This morning, for instance, I have again only eaten 3 of the small croissants and nothing else.

We're just about to go to a friend's daugher's birthday party, though and my friend and her mother are fantastic cooks, so I'm going to have to exercise lots and lots of restraint!! Wish me luck.icon14.gif

    Have a nice day everyone.icon7.gif
