  • Hello everyone and
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY :bdaycake:
    TAPLADY AND TADPOLE 2!

Floyd - are you a scouser then? There are a couple of others on here - me and Cranky.

Hope you have a great day Taplady and enjoy spending your Birthday money on yourself!

Frogga - hope Tadpole 2 has a great birthday and I am VERY impressed by your new evolved attitude to dieting - it is definitely the way to go... I went out to my friends last night for a chinese and didn't have any because of my diet and then came home and ate two thick slices of toast with butter and philadelphia.

Weighed in this morning and had lost 1lb, which is okay, since I haven't been very good and it is TOTM.

Food today has been a wholemeal wrap with chicken, lettuce and a low fat cheese slice for lunch, followed by some pear slices in cranberry juice. I am supposed to be going for a meal for my friend's birthday tonight so don't know what I will have, but I am going to try and follow Frogga's example and have what I will enjoy and just get back to it tomorrow.

Hope you are enjoying the heat - it is very warm and overcast here today - not nice!

I went into Boots yesterday to try and buy some fresh tubigrip for my arm as the one the hospital had put on was looking really grimy underneath the splint thingie, and the assistant terrified me by saying that I needed to go straight back to the doctors or hospital because my fingers were blue. I assumed that the blue was just the bruising, because my whole forearm is absolutely covered in purple brusing and swelling. Anyway I went to the GP this morning and he said that I needed to get it looked at because he thought it should be in proper plaster not the splint thingie, so sent me off for more X-rays, and they have just rung me to say I have to go and see the orthopedic consultant at 2.50 this afternoon.

Rockie - hope you sort out your domestic soon and he realises that you are in the right!

Marie - have you tried those oatibix minis? I find that they are so much more filling that the weetabix. The Oatibix normal sized are rank, but the minis are quite nice and really fill me up.

Hope you are all having a good day!
    Jane

Harping Burpdee to Tappy & Taddy2:j

I've always envied peeps who could celebrate with outdoor parties, cuz our house was "too small" to have a good go at musical chairs:o I MUST qualify for a bit of cake cuz I've had such a deprived childhood:cry: But I loved every minute of it really!!!:D

We live close to the sea but can't get on the beach in the good weather for all the flippin' tourists:eek: Parking is an expensive nightmare with no concession for locals... eurrrhhhaarrgghhh! Not the place BM...not here....retreat from the rage....

I'm sort of being good food-wise--more by luck than judgement if I'm to be honest--& think I may have devised a Baldrick to further measure my losses.....Here we go....
Our downstairs comfort-room...ok--bog!..is quite narrow. When I went in earlier, my butt was j-u-s-t touching the closed door with me jellie bits kissing the hand basin. I'll see how long it takes to get from side-to-side, to side-to-yellow pages.....wujeeya fink? eh! eh! Good innit:D ....might go on that dragons thing & see if they'll give me a wedge to market the idea......Weight-loss recording loo roll!! Whoo-hoo:j

Kiss mei asp & call me Suga!!:rotfl:

Yes Frogga, it's wot they call 'flexible syns' on SW:rotfl: :rotfl: you eat the party food and then get straight back on track!
Why on earth is the beach shut

We have what MrsM call 'vision but no sound' here, OH is still sulking
(YAY, Peace:D) so I just mde myself a very tasty broad bean and asparagus risotto.
I had a jacket with cottage cheese and beans for my lunch and some cherries this afternoon.
I might have a yoghurt in a bit, I bought some Activia ones as I feel a bit bloated and 'offy' so we'll see if they work

My next door neighbour has just had a row with the skanky one's from the back over the kids chucking chips in her back yard :T it might not happen if they cooked the poor kids a proper meal....Oh, sorry, they're too busy drinking to have time/money to cook   I despair of living here sometimes *dashes off to buy a lottery ticket*

    Hope

More of an adopted scouser, my Mum and her family are all from Anfield/Kirkdale, I grew up in South Wales but moved to Liverpool 12 years ago and married a fella from Netherley so that makes me about 65% scouse :rotfl:

I always remember as a kid my favourite dinner was scouse with doughboys and none of my friends knew what the hell it was :o still love it now and it always makes me smile that even though its such a simple dish, everyone has their own 'right' way of making it

Frogga I gave up missing out on special occasions on my 40th birthday. I celebrated giving up "doing without at parties" with a champagne breakfast to start me off :rotfl:

We have just got back from the beach. We were taking the boat out of the water ready for DH to take it to Anglesey next month. I now have a tired Master Cranky who will be scrubbed clean in a short while.

RS I hope your arm is OK. Give me a yell if you need anything doing like shopping. I am free Friday and Saturday this week, honest, I'd be happy to help, if you wouldn't mind a 3 year old talking you to death:rotfl:

    Take care all of you

    Evening everyone,

Not been on for a while my internet has been down:mad:. Not had chance to catch up yet but i will do tonight/tomoro. Had a pants wk all round, first my freezer packed in so had to chuck loads of food out. Managed to salvage a few bits (bread, crumpets etc..) but the majority had to go straight in the bin. Coz of this and it being my TOTM i've put loads on. I'm so bloated and i'm craving loads of sweet stuff. Got on the scales this morn and was totally horrified to see i weighed 10.10, which is almost what i weighed when i first started this. Been doing loads of exercise and eating really well so only thing i can put it down to is TOTM. Is anyone else like this or know what i can do to stop me from getting this bloated. My health coach eventually turned up. I'd read a few mixed reviews about it but i love it. I've found it really motivating only thing is there's no option to choose loose weight or to maintain and it's telling me that because i'm within my healthy BMI i dont need to loose weight and need to be consuming 2200 cals to maintain my weight, only i want to get down to my pre pregnancy weight. Other than that it's fab.

    B - weetabix and banana
L - jacket with cheese and salad
T - take away (shopping getting delivered tomoro):o

Getting loads of healthy stuff tommoro so fingers crossed for a good week
See you later have a good day tomoro x
