    Afternoon all,

    Congratulations Kitty...what a marvellous loss!

    Today I have eaten:
    Fruit and chocolate scone ( Avoca) with butter and hm jam and cappucino with 2 lumps of sugar, banana...thoroughly enjoyed scone, they are expensive but very big and I felt full;
    Little peckish now, going to have something soon, maybe couple of cold sausages with a slice of brown bread...OH cooked for the masses yesterday so there is leftover stuff that may be dumped to-morrow...hate that;

Dinner will be chicken breast with mixed veg...depending on what is in garden, and potatoes, fruit for pudding if needed.

    Have a good day all

  • Well done kitty:T and pebbles:T, ooooh and me too..... 2lb off for me this morning and I'm chuffed to little mintballs after 6 or 7 weeks of gains and STS's!! It's given me such a boost and I'm in the right frame of mind to stick with it ....... as I say, so much easier now I'm off for 2weeks and can plan meals instead of comfort grazing in work all day, and I can get some exercise instead of being parked in front of a 'puter..... which is where I am now obviously, but my poor tootsies deserve a bit of a rest after a 10K (not 10 miles like I said earlier, brain still works in old money!!) sponsored walk yesterday! Wasn't easy in all that wind and the odd shower and it got a bit hairy at one stage going round the lake with lots of mud to slide about in but we did it!!:T Had a lovely meal in the pub after, I had the Sunday roast which came with lots of veggies and not too much damage to all the hard work!

Hope you're not too uncomfortable and are managing alright RS. I was armless for 6 weeks about 5 years ago and was pretty useless for the first couple of weeks (right arm and I'm right handed) so OH (ex now) had his work cut out!

Welcome back 10past 6. Don't be feeling like you're a burden here because you're not and we're happy to help you any way we can!

    Food today.....

    B- banana and yoghurt
L- pitta with bacon and salad
D- ham, new spuddies, peas, salad

Snacks - grapes, couple of plain (boring ones so won't be tempted to overdo it!!) bickies with a cuppa in a min

    Good luck this week everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted, I have a poorly little man today (think it's just a cold, but he had a high temp).

RS I hope your arm isn't hurting too much today.

Rockie, I have the big food directory if I can be any help looking things up.

    Take care all of you

  • Hello everyone - well done to Kitty:T Pebbles:T and Droopydrawers:T and any other losers I have forgotten. Thanks for all your kind words about my arm - except Frogga, who thought it was funny;) - I feel much better today - the strong painkillers helped enormously and it has generally felt much easier today - I can move my fingers now and the bruising has all come out.

Took DD2 out for lunch as she has been such a little treasure the last couple of days, making me cups of tea and generally helping wherever she can and just being really considerate and giving me loads of hugs and things. We went to the Harvester and I was very restrained and had salad, wholemeal roll (did have a little bit of butter on it), chicken quarter and baked potato. Didn't have any dessert though. It was really nice and DD2 loved it because she got to have ribs and chocolate brownies! DD1 hasn't been in since Saturday and didn't even come home when I told her that I had fallen over - teenagers! After our lunch we walked down to the beach and watched the tall ships parade which was really lovely - there were about 60 sailing ships all leaving down the Mersey estuary and it was quite spectacular. We only live about 5 minutes from the beach so we are lucky. There were 1000's of people and cars and the traffic looked ridiculous. I enjoyed the little walk but feel tired now because I pulled all kinds of muscles when I fell over and so they are aching.

Don't know what to have for tea as lunch was v. filling. DD2 has made herself a sandwich.

Frogga - well done on resisting the granola. I noticed a thread on here about hm popcorn - you could have a look at it for some ideas. Mrs M will know better than I, but I am sure that if you use your own popping corn and only a tiny bit of oil to pop it, it is really low in calories providing you don't have cheese or sugar on it. I like it best with just a bit of salt, but Nigella does it with salt and chilli powder and other bits and that sounds nice too.

Rockie - will PM you re: SW passwords.

Cranky - hope little master Cranky is feeling better.

10past6 - just take it a day at a time and don't ever feel that you can't post - loads of us on here have problems with anxiety and depression and there will always be someone along with some words of advice I'm sure.

Marie - your food always sounds so appetising! I could just fancy a cold sausage or one of those big scones!

Mrs M - I have only had tempeh once and it was rank!

Hope you are all having a good day - :hello: Taplady, cheerfulness, saversarn, superspam, Nixy, Bobbadog, OGITH, floyd, beanielou, Iainz, BigmummaF, Sandy2, Pigpen, Kika, Pauliesgirl and anyone else I have forgotten!

  • Hello all

Got back from camping yesterday and have been to work today so I've only just had a chance to read all the posts. It certainly has been an up and down weekend but what a lot of brilliant losses out there:j Go girls!!

Poor RS - hope the pain's going down a bit.

Mrs Mc - I eat tempeh quite a bit - it's a vegan thing - and I do like it. You can slice it and treat it like bacon or you can mash it up and treat it like mince, but you do have to add your own flavourings to it as it can be a bit bland, like tofu. I have a vegetarian diet book which I used to use and there is a nice recipe in there for spaghetti with tempeh and mushroom sauce which is only 477 calories. If you want it I'll post it.

Food today hasn't been brilliant I'm afraid. I think Aunt Flo is on her way and that makes me hungry.

B - 2 slices toast with peanut butter and jam

L - One deli roll with vegan cream cheese and salad. One HM fairy cake. One apple. Cup of carrot and coriander soup.

S - 2 more HM cakes when I got in from work.

D - I shouldn't eat any more today, should I?? However, I think it will either be veggie sweet and sour or veggie curry. I haven't decided yet.

Have a good evening everyone. Hope I do better tomorrow.

    Evening folks :hello:
Thanks Cranky, I've got last years so can look quite a lot of stuff up but it's when you spot something new and tasty......... Hope the little man soon feels better.

I've had SW quiche with SW chips (made from homegrown spuds YUM) and peas for tea followed by strawberries with greek yoghurt, I've got a hifi bar for later but should be ok today, it's usually day 3 when the munchies kick in
I'm sticking with my decision to not WI this week until Friday, to much cake yesterday so I need to get that out of my system!!

Planning to defuzz the legs and paint my toenails tonight - sorry if that's TMI but it will keep me occupied and out of the kitchen :D
