  • Hello everyone - well done all the losers and STSers, especially Mrs M - that is brilliant considering the stress you have been under. When my Mum died I coped by eating and eating and put on about 4 stone.

Frogga - you got through the day and I'm sure you will settle in fine once you get started - Tadpole 1 is only as wise as she is because of what she has learned from you so you must have the hidden strengths you need.

I didn't go on the computer yesterday and really didn't fancy posting here today because all I have done since I woke up is eat carp. I have had a bad couple of days with DD1 and ex OH (which I won't bore you with the details of but it has really shaken me up) and didn't overeat at all yesterday but today I have just been like a woman possessed.... I feel even more embarassed because all of you are dealing with your own problems and some of them are much worse than mine, but I seem to be the only one who is unable to sustain a downward weight.

I wouldn't dare post what I have had today as it is truly disgraceful and I am thoroughly ashamed of myself. I got to the school today and just started crying and couldn't seem to get myself back in control.....

I think I am going to have to start taking the anti-depressant tablets that my GP prescribed - so far I have resisted them because the last time I tried them they made my anxiety worse, but I think I will have to try again.

Anyway I am going to start food optimising again as I felt so much better when I was doing it, plus the weight came off too!

Hope you are all having a good evening - it is pouring down here which doesn't help!

Frogga - I only had one job since leaving University 25 years ago! I got made redundant nearly two years ago and have been living on my redundancy money ever since because I am too scared to apply for anything else, but I will have to soon! I know what you mean about change......

RS - (((hugs))) sorry you're having a tough time, hope you feel better with the food optimising, just start again tomorrow. Maybe the tablets will help, got to be worth a try. They do take a while to work so give them a good chance!
I hope tomorrow is better for you x

    Evening folks,

Good to see you have STS, Mrs MC...you are one strong lady but you know that if you need a whinge or rant we are all here for you, as you have been for us since this thread started...hugs.

Frogga, take this new job one step at a time and you will be fine...think of all the fools you know who manage to hold down responsible jobs and say to yourself ' I am better than that'...you have help here anytime you need it

RS...please have a little more confidence in yourself, some of the nasty things that are going on around you are not your fault, there is nothing you can do about them, try to put them on one side and try to relax a bit...easier said than done I know but you know that we are all here for you if needed.

I am No 17 on this campaign and have managed to PUT ON 2 lbs since last September...I eat healthily and rarely stuff myself with anything, but have been known to have a huge sandwich or piece of cake just before going to bed...whatever I have been doing it hasn''t worked but I lost a pound this week and feel like it was a stone, I think that at last all the friends I have made on this thread are having an influence for good...keep going.

I had lamb chop, broccoli, onions, potatoes and mint gravy for dinner, banana and pint of water.
I have had small dish of wine gums (slowly) and will probably have some fruit with plain yogurt before bed time

    Good luck all, sleep well

    Morning Peeps,

Up early this morning , been to Sainsbugs already :j All done for the day now, and no carp fell into my trolley at all :D

Feel in a much more possitive mood about the job, firstly thanks to a pm from me Gran :A and secondly thanks to a hour long phone call from a really good Liverpudlian pal of mine who makes me laugh ;)

One more thing I forgot to tell you (and then I'll shut up about it honest ;) ) was that I am the only Frog on the payroll. They asked me if I thought it would cause any problems and how I would deal with any Speciesism from the kids. I just said that I haven't encountered any problems before. I worked at the Library and dealt with students all day long and although I was the only Frog there it didn't cause any problems. I think in my Grandparents day things were different but nowadys people are much more accepting.

Have a good day peeps ;)

    Morning all

    Food today :-
    1. brekkie -soaked oats with apple n nuts and a handfull of blueberries
    2. lunch-think it will be kraut salat with some sardines n salad :A :rotfl:
    3. dinner -hubby is having chilli so i think i will have a couple of slices of the seedy bread im making at the moment -with avocado and salad nomnomnom
    4. snackies -as always..fruit or yogurts
Well it is tipping it down here -so i can't get in the garden, hubby has just left for his golf competition..so im going to park my bum and get some x stitch done :j .... I have decided to make loads of cards, mini hanging cushions with lavender etc in, book marks and the like..then when i go back home to visit im taking them to the hospice that cared for my sis at home. they hold fetes etc -so im hoping they can sell them off to raise funds and then i want to do a big pic for them to either hang in the hospice or to raffle off.. Its not much, but all i can do whilst im out here..once i move back home im intending to offer to bake etc for the fetes.. Soooo all that sewing should keep my head out of the fridge :T ... ooohhh and i also got lots of wool whilst i was home so i can make more xmas tree decorations ;)

Well done on avoinding the junk when you went shopping frogga :T , glad you are feeling a bit more optomistic about your new job..you will be fine and do a great job im sure :D

right i had better catch up on everything else then get my bum on the sofa...have a great day everyone and keep up the good work..
    hugs to anyone in need

Well.. after a week home alone with the children and a diet of fruit and tea and maybe one sensibly sized 'meal' a day.. normally I have 3 meals on one plate!! I knew I should have lost something...

5lb!!!!!!!!!! shifted!!! so... I am now back where I started.. PMSL... but it is an incentive to keep trying... see when I shift it, it shifts..

It is hubbys fault I am fat!!!! He wasn't here and I was sensible.. it is all his fault!!
