Just as a test -for scientific purposes only - I bought a pack of fig rolls yesterday to see if I could have "just one". Not a chance!!! :o

So nope can't do it - has to be non-sugar treats for sure. Today I have a packham pear (lovely hard crispy pear like an apple - can't stand them soft).

Breakfast was soaked oats with frozen cherries.
Lunch is ciabatta roll with roast chicken (hidden from OH in the freezer as soon as we'd eaten roast dinner coz I wanted a nice lunch :p).
    Snacks are pear, banana.
    tea is fish pie.

Oooh and I weighed in this morning and have lost 1lb ;)

Well done to all the losers. Good to have you back MrsM. Hope you are doing ok - your posts sound positive.

    Well done the losers!!!!

Well, last night I was sat on the bus on the way home via my SW class when I realised that I'd booked 2 holiday weeks with the leader but had actually had 3 meaning that I would have to pay for a missed week  Unfortunatley due to having to donate to a wedding gift at work I didn't have enought cash on me  so I stayed on the bus and went home and ate cheese on toast
I did do my dance class though and then came home and had MORE toast
Nothing in the fridge this morning for my lunch, I daren't shop until I know how much it's going to cost me at the dentist this afternoon, filling ......ok we can eat..........crown.......sorry, but it's beans on toast until payday

Frogga - I didn't mean to show off but I cannot believe how many onions we have got! I've given 3 bags away to friends and I've still got 2 shelves in the mini greenhouse FULL plus 3 carriers FULL in the house - ARRRGHHHH!! My house reeks of onion!
I've used 10 beetroots and OH has another 40 almost ready.....I don't think he's got the hang of planting stuff in stages yet:rolleyes:
  • Morning all

Nice to see Mrs Mc back :hello: Your veggies look lovely.

Well, despite my worst fears, I have actually lost 1lb this week, so I'm a happy bunny this morning.:j

Off camping in a bit for the weekend, so don't know what my food intake is going to be like. I am determined to keep it down, though. Especially as I've only got 3lb to go to meet my July target.

I've had nothing to contribute to the treat/no treat debate because I've got terrible will power when it comes to snacking. I have really found, though, that I have been better since coming on here. Even if the weight is coming off slowly, I'm still doing it. This thread is great.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

    Morning all,

Another misty day here at Mean Mansions, so nothing will be done in the garden...OH is delighted I think as he is not in the humour!

Congratulations to the losers..there you are Frogga, it can be done. Delighted to report that I have lost 1 lb this week...I calculate that if I can do this every week until Christmas I will get to just under 13 stone, which would be wonderful, so easy does it for me.

This morning I have had 2 Weetabix, banana and milk, with a pint of water...will post the rest of my food later on, when I know what I have eaten for the day!

    Have a good day all

    Hi :hello:

well done everyone for losing this week :T :j

My legs are killing me today from my walk on wednesday :( but I'll get to have a rest this weekend cos (ex)OH looks after DS weekends while I stay in bed/rest. We're having our bathroom done next week and (ex)OH is taking the week off work so I will be able to have a good rest then aswell hopefully. Not looking forward to having to be around him all week though  I'll just have to make sure I'm not in the same room as him for too long. It really winds me up being stuck here with him  [/moan]

    Food today
    b 1 weetabix & 1 slice of toast
    l toast & l/o tinned pineapple from last night's sweet & sour
d natural fish, chips & mushy peas
    s yoghurt/fruit

I probably wont post again till tuesday, so have a good weekend everyone :)

  • Hi all,

    Well done the losers!!:T

Welcome back Mrs M, nice to see you.

It's been ages since my last post, just don't seem to have had the time... or the energy. Anyhow, finished work yesterday for two whole weeks, YAY!!... so plenty of time for posting and getting back on track foodwise, I'm just so rubbish in work..... everyone (especially me!!) seems to be constantly eating to relieve the boredom (busy but bored if you know what I mean).

Having said that, I have been pretty good this week.... chomped my way though two tubs of Aldi's 69p grapes in work instead of diving into the bickie tin, so with a bit of luck that'll show up at my weigh in next Monday! By the way, (Toni, might be a bit late with this now, sorry!!) it was STS for me last Monday... which means I'm back to where I was at the back end of May which is not good, but watch this space!!

    Food today.....
    B - yoghurt, banana
L - soup, cheese topped bap (tidgy scrape of butter)
    T- ham, salad, new spuddies

Got shopping and washing done this morning, off to tackle the housework now..... and anything that's not done this afternoon or tomorrow morning will just have to wait, I'm on my hols!!:D

    Afternoon all

Well i made it on here eventually :D have had a chaotic day... anyway... I tippy toed onto the scales this morning and by gum... I have managed to stay the same as i was when i last weighed in 3 weeks ago :j ....eeeeee you could have knocked me over with a feather...so im chuffed to little mint balls, when i think about the stuff i have been eating -including 4 thai take aways, russian slab oooh and potted dog -only because i don't get them here...honest :p and i won't even go into everything else that i have eaten:eek: .... mind when i thought about it for the 1st 10 days i was walking to sisters house every morning to visit and so my BIL could nip out and do the essentials or i nipped to the chemist etc as we wouldn't leave her on her own... oh and for the 1st few days of being there i couldn't eat.... think it was the shock of seeing her for the 1st time since xmas(i would have walked past her if i hadn't spotted her hubby).. but according to her hubby i never missed a beat or showed a flicker of shock ...thank god
anyway - i guess she must be smiling on me as she kept me the same weight for 3 weeks :T ... well i did promise to get the rest of the weight off and keep it off as she was so thrilled at the change in me:p

Anyway we went golfing this morning -but hubby only played 9 holes as it tipped it down..still it all adds up ;) then we went to the NAFFI and WOO HOO i spent €36.21 for what should have cost €79.91 :j 16lt of milk @ 50c for 2 litres , granary flour, marscapone, nanas, cheese for hubby, peppers, a chicken down to €2

    food today :-
    • brekkie -2 peaches
    • just had a bit of chicken, steamed potatoes, cauli/broc cheese, beans, peas n carrots... it was sort of late lunch/early dinner as we were out until 1:30pm..
    • later if i get hungry i will have fruit/yoghurt
I have made the casserole thing using 1 of the big courgettes and lots of other veggies, garlic, soya beans, smoked paprika, tomatoes.. so i will freeze that up later and we still have 3/4 of the cauli cheese left (got carried away :o ) oh and loads more cheese sauce i will freeze up too;)

Well done on the losses everyone :T

Hi newlywed... yep -im keeping positive as sis would kick me in the shins if i sat moping :p , I sometimes drift off thinking about her -but its usually about one of the many daft things she used to do :rotfl: .... I blubbed my way through the funeral -mind everyone else was doing the same.. and after that i decided that the best tribute i can give her is to live life to the full and grab everything by the scruff and make the most of every moment. She was a really outgoing, bubbly, crackpot..so im not going to sit and do "what ifs"..

Rockie... hope it was "only" a filling you had to have.... its not the pain of the dentistry work is it..its the pain of receiving the bill

Saversarn  I had my hair re styled and 2 colours of foils put in the other week and thought £60 was bad enough..but i bet it looks stunning :D and makes you feel like a million dollars :T

Frogga -hope you had a good day at your "practice" run :D

Right folks i had better get off... have a great evening and keep up the good work :T

    Hi Guys,

Well I'm back from my Practice day at my new job. How did it go? Well, lets just say , the first thing I did when I got home was call Mr Frog to see if we could tighten our belts anymore and I could affoard to stay at the library :o

It was Really daunting and I feel like I'm gonna be so out of my debth. There is far more to the job than I had anticipated and it all feels very overwhelming. I've just gotta keep remindning myself that I'll soon get the hang of it and that everyone feels like that to begin with.

On the way home I drove straight up to the school to pick up Tadpole 2. There was a young Mum from the village out for a walk with her dogs, a baby in the pushchair and a toddler holding her hand. It hit me like a lightning bolt that not so long ago that was me, spending all day with the Tadpoles at home and doing as we pleased. In a few days time I'll have 2 Tadpoles at high school and a full time job. It all feels too much and as I waited outside of the school I wept.

Everything is changing. I have really loved being at home with the Tadpoles. It's been the best years of my life. We've had such laughs. Working part time has been such a luxury; all afternoons to do as I pleased. I feel very unsettled and I feel sad like something bad happened. Like someone died. Like part of me died.

I'll be OK once I've settled in I know. You can see why I stayed in one job for 18 years, why I've lived in only 1 house since I got married and why I've only ever had 1 boyfriend can't you? I don't do change well :o

Tea is in the oven so I'll have that and then my treat tonight and that'll be my lot for today. Funnily enough I will have to force myself to eat my tea as I really just want to go to bed. It's been a funny old day and I'd like to shut my eyes now and forget. I know I wont pig out tonight, I'm not in the eatin mood.

Have a good evening peeps xxxx
