I'm with the others on 'treat' food, I do loads better when I'm having nice fruit and veg and what I call 'proper tasty' sttuff.

*mmm, could explain why I'm rubbish at the moment*

Awful as it may sound, I try to have something really nice for tea when OH is working as lonliness/boredom is one of my triggers
(:rotfl: who am I kidding I love it when he's at work and I get the puter and remote :rotfl: )
I'm being really tight at the moment, having paid for the holiday (he was broke as usual) and seeing as how I have the dentist tomorrow:eek: and might need a crown:eek: then the opticians next week:eek: so we've had a freezer week - not good for the diet.........
 mmmm things are becoming a bit clearer .........

Have a gret holiday Nix and leave the toad over there please!!

    Morning all,

Frogga....2 stone since May....I have put on 4 lbs since last September so you are doing great! You have inspired us all to start and me to keep going even if I am only making the odd effort...anyway even with 2 days on and 1 off you will still lose if more slowly than you want. I have been trying to have something 'nice' around 7 or so...at present the treat is 4 chocolate covered macadamia nuts all the way from New South Wales, will move on to something else when they are gone...try the After Eights...can you increase your water intake, a few sips is often enough to stop me having something to eat...you see I know it all, just don't do it!!

Nix...have a great holiday....I suppose there is no chance you could manage to dispose of that bluddy toad once and for all when you have him in the Algarve...probably not on to drown a toad is it?

    Congratulations to all the losers

Mrs MC, hope that you are doing ok, look forward to seeing you back

    Marie

Going to post what I have eaten to-day later on rather than say it now and then **ck it all up later IYSWIM

    Morning all,

Did well yesterday apart from the beer and chocolate cake in the evening!! I'm blaming the OH, he's so moody as he's working long hours to pay for the wedding and the only thing that cheers him up is food! lol.

    Anyway positive outlook for today:
No more alcohol until wedding (thanks only girl in the house!!)
    Small portions
    Lots of fruit and veg
No Smoking (that might go out the window tomorro tho! lol)

    So...
B - Porridge oats with water
    L - Banana and apple
D - Sweet and Sour was suppose to have yesterday
Snack - Banana and fruit from the fridge

Have a lovely day all and thanks Tap lady, 9 days to go!!

:T :T :T to that Bigmumma!!! Usually I'm completely against the Honours System but in this case I think it's TOTALLY acceptable to make an exception :D

Been thinking again, dangerous I know. You all have very valid points about the treat thing. I think it is VERY ingrained in me that choccy is carp and I don't know how I will feel about having a little  Decieded that I will have treats, but that they will be a large spoonful of yummy fruit salad and 10 cashew nuts every evening. I LOVE nuts, so if I'm really good, perhaps on a Sunday night, I'm gonna have a mini bag of salted peanuts :j Yummy things that are natural, but still healthy, but not sugar as I think maybe that might be dangerous for me. Frogs are not supposed to eat sugar anyway for heavens sake. How many of you have pond life that suck on a mars bar?

Tappy it was very interesting to read what you said about never being tempted to eat meat. I am NEVER tempted to eat it either  It's gross, I don't know how any of you carnivors can even sniff it, bleugh!!! I really want to hypnotise myself into feeling that way about the carp as my poor little body deserves better doesn't it?

I like the idea of factoring in a 'treat'...but like others I'm not so sure I could buy a packt of my ultimate biscuits & not eat them all in one sitting:o

So--following on from Newlywed's idea, I'm pondering things like fresh pineapple...or grapes set in a jelly...or frozen yoghurt.....Someone on another thread said she keeps the juice from tinned fruit in an empty ice-cream carton, then freezes it to make a sorbet-type pud.

Don't know about you guys, but I struggle to find room in my freezer...even more so from today cuz I've had to get a new one. The door of the fridge literally fell off when I went to get the milk out the other morning:eek: & the new models are a good bit smaller. If I had the room [& the money:o ] I'd have those walk-in wardrobe types like the americans do! ....oh...... then I'd have more room to keep more food.....

    M'be not then:p

The handbell concert was excellent. We went out to Garfunkels afterwards and I had salmon with jacket potato.
This morning I have had two thirds of a banana (the rest was black mush) and coffee, as I was late in getting up.
Lunch will be baked vegetables and hopefully fresh blackberries from the garden.

I bought lolly molds to make HM ice lollies - not a chance of there being room for that, unless I'm ill for two weeks and can't get to any shops to fill the freezer back up :o It's all that cook double to freeze and HM frozen stock -not to mention when it gets back to soup weather!!

Mum and dad have a larder fridge (5 foot tall) and the same size freezer - but I view my 2½ freezer drawers as a jigsaw puzzle challenge to fit anything extra in ;)

    Hi everyone :hello:

frogga - before I joined this thread I used to sit munching on choc or biscuits most evenings, but now if I really feel like something I just have 1 piece of chocolate. I thought it would be hard to not have loads after the first piece but I have managed to stick to it (most of the time) So I think you should try it & give yourself something as a treat as it should take the edge off the cravings instead of telling yourself you cant have anything at all.
And 2 stone since May Wow! Well done you! :T :T

WI today lost 1lb :D that makes 5lbs so far this month :)

    Food today
    B rice crispies & OJ
L [strike]toast/soup[/strike] had crisps instead :naughty:
D sweet & sour chicken noodles/ soup not sure yet
    S yoghurt/fruit

    beansncourgetteqj3.th.jpg
So no excuse for not eating well is there :D .... have loads more stuff on its way, and have been out shopping this morning so have a well stocked fridge again -mainly fruit n veggies (haven't managed to fit my garden stuff in yet)

So far i have managed to drag the washing out of the cases and sort into loads.... which means i have unpacked my new books too :j so no prizes for guessing what im going to be doing to day ;)

I have got various tinned/chilled oily fish in an attempt to find some i like other than salmon/tuna...:p As of today im starting my super duper healthy eating plan so red meat has gone (not that i eat much of it) and im sticking mainly to fish/seafood... although i may have an odd bit of chicken/turkey as turkey in particular is good for me :D ..plus i have some in the freezer :D

I will weigh in tomorrow morning so i can get back into my routine(not been on the scales for 3 weeks  )... not much bothered what the scales say after the last 3 weeks..plus TOTM  ... im expecting a gain but hey ho i will soon whip it off again with you lovely lot :T
right i will get off and get the broad beans n peas shelled... will pop back later and catch up on everything.... still have the attention span of a gnat... but once hubby goes back to work on monday things will soon slot into place again...
thankyou once again for all the support and messages over the last few weeks its been the only "normal" thing going on in my head..so you are a lovely , wonderful bunch
well done on the losses and chin up to anyone struggling..
have a great day everyone :D
